FOLSOM LAKE COLLEGE & ATHLETICSFolsom Lake College provides a diverse student population the ability to explore their educational and career interests through exceptional instructors and cutting-edge programming and services. FLC’s small student to faculty ratio allows for one-on-one interactions and personalized instruction; research shows students excel when they feel their instructors know who they are and care about their progress.
Intercollegiate athletics is the ultimate equity program, promoting the success of all students. Athletics encourages first generation college students and other underrepresented student groups who might not view themselves as having academic potential, to enroll in college and earn their degrees. Additionally, student athletes often express how their involvement gives them a sense of connection to the community, which will in turn build future civic leaders who invest and build businesses locally, strengthening Folsom and the surrounding communities as a whole.

Community college athletics help build important life and job skills, including teamwork and collaboration, critical thinking, professionalism and discipline, communication, and leadership.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVEDShow your support of Folsom Lake College Athletics by having your name or the name of a loved one featured on the Falcon Donor Wall! This unique giving opportunity provides unrestricted, invaluable support for all Folsom Lake College student-athletes, and every gift will have a positive impact on their ability to succeed in the classroom, in competition and in the community. Funds will be used for additional equipment needed by existing teams and startup costs of new teams, including equipment, and other necessary supplies. Every investment in the athletics program will assist the college in growing, enhancing and maintaining the athletics program to serve our community.

The new Folsom Lake College Physical Education & Athletics Complex houses state-of-the-art spectator and practice gymnasiums, tennis complex, soccer field, baseball and softball stadiums, track and field, cross country course, interpretive trail, and is home to athletics teams for both men and women.
The complex, which was completed in 2015, will host college tournaments as well as regional competitions.
