1ATTORNEY GENERAL’S ANNUAL AWARDS RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED
Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales has selected the following individuals as the recipients of the Attorney General’s 53rd Annual Awards. Congratulations to the awards recipients!
DOJ employees in the Washington Metropolitan Area are invited to attend the awards ceremony, which will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2005, 2 pm, at Constitution Hall. Departmental identification is required for entry. Shuttle service will be provided from the Robert F. Kennedy Main Justice Building.
THE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S AWARD FOR EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE
This is the Department’s highest award for employee performance, accompanied by a cash award of $6,000. Two Exceptional Service Awards will be presented this year.

THE MARY C. LAWTON LIFETIME SERVICE AWARD
This award recognizes employees who have served at least twenty years in the Department and who have demonstrated high standards of excellence and dedication throughout their careers. This award is presented only in exceptional circumstances to those individuals of special merit and is not awarded to express general appreciation for tenure alone. This award is accompanied by a cash award of $2,000. One Mary C. Lawton Award will be presented this year.
