Brother Knights, Spouses and Social Members,
I'm appreciative of the faith that you have in me to be your Grand Knight again. When I was Deputy
Grand Knight (in the days of the dinosaurs) Dave Davies was the Grand Knight, and I felt that I need-
ed more time to understand the job, as he was such a dynamic GK, so I asked for an extra year as Dep-
uty GK. I understand Deputy Grand Knight Robert Geierman's desire to have another year to get
ready to take over as the Grand Knight, as he would have to follow another dynamic GK, Dave Reser.
Both Dave's did so much for the council that it appeared to be overwhelming to try and duplicate their
leadership. I guarantee you that I am neither Dave. I, and subsequently Robert, will need your sup-
port, suggestions, volunteerism and especially prayers in order to keep this council as the best around.
The new officers are an outstanding group of men that we should emulate. I would like to especially
thank Dennis Baluh for continuing to put together the Knightline and try to make me sound like I
know what I am talking about and getting the word to the membership. Dave Bauer has been super
helpful in trying to re-assimilate me into doing what needs done, to which I am very grateful. Also, the
Trustees and myself want to assure you that we are doing what is best for the organization, and again
are open to any and all suggestions on how to improve.
If you need to contact me, my home #440-926-3389; Cell #440-773-4831; e-mail: [email protected].
I am yours in Christ,. Vivat Jesus.
Jim Lynsky FDD, PGK, and GK.

Lake Erie Crushers Baseball Game
We have picked the date of Sunday August 21st at 5:05 PM as the first annual LE Crushers K of C Family Game Day Picnic. Tickets are available now at the Club and are only $15.00 each. This includes gate entrance to the
Picnic Porch, Food, Beverages and passes for the kids to the inflatable play area. Such a great deal for a family day at the ballpark! We are committed to 30 tickets minimum and up to a maximum of 65. Please show your support
and buy your tickets early, as this will be a great event for your club. Thank You.
Calling All Military Veterans
Discussions around the Club have brought up the question, how many members of the Elyria Knights of Co-
lumbus and Elyria Columbian Club are or were Military Veterans? A handful were noted, but we are sure there
are many more that are not known or recognized. Through their sacrifices' made for our Great Country, we are
gratefully thankful. We are thinking about creating a List or Veterans Wall of Fame for all to appreciate these
forgotten, in our everyday lives. Your input would be greatly appreciated. If you are a Veteran or know some-
one that is or was a Veteran, please write down on a piece of paper, their name, rank, branch of service, years
served and any other info you would like to note. You can mail it to the K of C or drop it off at the Club or
give to one of the Officers. Again, this is an idea we are discussing and all your input is necessary for this to
become a success. If you have any questions, please contact Dave Bauer or Pat Powers. Thank You.

K of C Membership Notes
July 1st starts our new fiscal year for the Knights of Columbus, with new Officers and opportunities for our members to get involved. Each member should try and recruit one new member this year and also encourage the members they proposed to join the K of C initially, to be more active in the many events we try to put on each year. We desperately need volunteers to make these events a success and make our organization grow for future generations. Please review your commitment as a Knight and lend a hand to make this Council grow!
