Mark’s career in the mortgage industry has spanned close to 18 years. Previous to joining Intercap, he worked as a sales manager at New American Funding from 2008-2009. From 1999-2008, he owned Citywide Mortgage Corporation in California.

His time in the Marine Corps, stationed in El Toro, led him to settle in California.

summer golf tournaments to your healthTHE 20TH ANNUAL SNOHOMISH COUNTY WINDERMERE FOUNDATION GOLF TOURNAMENT was held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Legion Park Golf Course on Marine View Drive, Everett. Funds that were raised went to Housing Hope’s ChildHope Initiative, serving homeless and low-income children living in Snohomish County.

The cloudy weather didn’t discourage MAG participants Sue Hall, Patti Ormiston and Nancy Carmen. Jeryl and Ali Torick took charge of the MAG table, supplying games, goodies and fun for all.

Sue Hall will sponsor a hole at the Century 21 Easter Seals Tournament on August 21, 2014 at Cedar Crest Golf Club, Marysville, WA.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR: What are the health benefits of organic apple cider vinegar?

• Rich in Potassium: This mineral is key for growth, building muscles, transmission of nerve impulses and heart activity.

• Rich in Acetic Acid: This acid can slow the digestion of starch which can help to lower the rise in glucose that commonly occurs after meals.

• Rich in Malic Acid, which gives ACV its anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.

For these tips, white vinegar can be used, however organic cider vinegar is best, as it offers the maximum health-giving prop-erties. Dilute it before applying to your skin or drinking; it is very acidic and can damage the tooth enamel and the tissues of your throat, mouth or skin.

• Insect Bites: Vinegar is great for relieving the pain and irritation from mosquito bites, minor jelly-fish and bee stings. Use with a cotton pad on the affected area.

• Sunburn or Itchy Skin: Pour one cup of cider vinegar into a hot bath, and relax! The vin-egar will help to relieve the symptoms and sooth your skin.

worth the monetary or health costs. Instead, invest in a glass water bottle and water filter. The upfront costs will pay off the in long run.

• Always choose a glass baby bottle. Always.

• Limit processed foods a much as possible. Processed foods can become contaminated with plasticizers during any part of the preparation process, both before packaging and also as a result of packaging.

• When provided the option of purchasing a processed/prepared grocery item in a can, plastic bottle or glass jar, always choose glass. While avoiding the plastic bottle may be obvious here, what is not so obvious is the fact that cans are lined with plasticizers to keep from rusting. Studies have shown that cans leach more than double the BPA than plastic baby or drinking water bottles, though far fewer of the former tout the “BPA-free” label in comparison to the latter.

• Invest in a quality set of glass food storage containers. For kids, consider using a stainless steel lunch box.
