1. Rule 64B9-3.0025, F.A.C., Remedial Course- Discussion on Remedial Course Settings. A recommendation was made to move this discussion to October Full Board meeting.
2. Rule 64B9-3.014 Graduates from International or Non-NCSBN Jurisdictions a. Presentations by Josef Silny & Associates and CGFNS representatives
Mr. Silny present for Josef Silny. Mr. Silny explained the process of receiving education information from international programs and how his organization determines equivalency to an approved education for Florida. Dr. Carol Tuttas present for CGFNS. Dr Tuttas explained language used on the evaluations such as “Comparable in Most Aspects” or “Comparable in Some Aspects”. Explanation was provided that this language is currently under review. An overview of how the evaluation process is completed was also provided.
3. Rule 64B9-2.017 Approval of Nursing Education Programs- Revised Application for
New Nursing Programs The application changes are related to the regulation passed in June 2017 regarding ownership of programs. A motion was made by Newman to approve the revisions to the application. Motion passed unanimously. A motion was by Newman to include new application in Rule 64B9-2.017.
4. Rule 64B9-2.016 Annual Report- Revised Annual Report Form for Approved
Programs A motion made by Newman to approve the changes made to the annual report. Motion approved unanimously.

This presentation is meant to begin a dialogue on potential future changes. Dr. Paschall left the meeting at 11:15.

Mr. Baker attended Executive Officer Leadership summit in June and will continue open discussions with other Executive Officers this month in Minnesota. The Joint Committee on Controlled Substances will meet again September 21 in Orlando; Ms. Forst was designated to represent the Board. CNA stakeholders meeting last month about Prometric to discuss application process was productive. Advance Practice Registered Nurse legislation is going into effect on October 1, 2018. MQA Strategic Planning Meeting will be held next week. Mr. Baker thanked the staff at the office for their hard work amidst dealing with

numerous IT challenges. Committee A determined it would continue to only meet on Thursday morning of the board meeting.
