The Australasian HRSG Users Group (AHUG) will conduct its third annual meeting in Australia on 13-15 December.

AHUG 2011 will consist of a number of focused presentations, lots of interactive discussions and two half-day workshops on topics of primary interest to every HRSG operator, NDE and Attemperator Performance. All attendees will be requested to raise specific technical problems with their HRSGs, and then participate while other attendees join in to share their experiences and debate solutions.

There will also be a number of exhibits associated with all aspects of HRSGs.

NDE Workshop Scope

Review of the non-destructive examination tools and processes available for the known failure and damage mechanisms in HRSGs; summary of in-service problems in using these tools and a number of case studies to illustrate applications.

Attemperator Performance Workshop Scope

Review of attemperator design, control, and maintenance best practices; summary of in-service problems associated with attemperators; reviews of how to monitor and evaluate attemperator performance.

Call for AHUG Conference Papers

Supplementing the Open Forum Discussions will be a select few formal presentations, hand-picked by the Steering Committee for their relevance and timeliness.

Please provide suggestions you are willing to present as an abstract (150 words or less).

New this year will be a series of brief case studies (5-10 minutes) presented by Owners/Operators describing actual plant issues. If you have experienced a significant plant issue that you think others would benefit from knowing about, please send a suggestion.

Submissions are welcome on all technical subjects associated with HRSGs. Send abstracts and case study suggestions to [email protected].
