In January Amin accuses the Anglican archbishop of Uganda of conspiring in an invasion plot. The next day 

the archbishop and two Cabinet ministers are murdered.

 Amin attempts to return to Uganda to reclaim power but is

identified at Kinshasa, Zaire (now the Democratic

Republic of the Congo), and forced to return to Saudi

 Amin gives an interview to an Ugandan newspaper, saying 

“very happy now, much happier now then when I was

president.”

It is reported that Amin wishes to return to Uganda. He

continues to be popular in his home province and begins

to fund the rebuilding of family properties destroyed by 

the Tanzanian troops who expelled him in 1979

Uganda officially celebrates Amin's downfall for the first 

time.

 Amin dies in hospital of complications due to multiple

organ failure at 8:20 a.m. on 16 August. He is buried in

 Jeddah's Ruwais cemetery during a small funeral

ceremony just hours after his death.

•Feeding the corpses of his victims to crocodiles,

of keeping severed heads in a freezer at his

home and bringing them out on occasions for

"talks" - most or all of which are unsubstantiated,

but not necessarily untrue.

•He planned to have a statue of Hitler

constructed in Kampala.

• Amin's rule was characterized by gross human

rights abuse

The personality of an autocratic leaders can be described as:

=firm, insistent, self-assured, dominating, and self-centered.

Advantages:

•  Autocratic leader made quick decision without consulting to a large group of people• When autocratic leader give instruction people have

to follow this instruction• Autocratic leader must take full responsibility for the result•

They can handle very stressful situation• This leaders are very devoted to there work

Disadvantage of Autocratic leader• Autocratic leader makes decision without consulting

the group, people in the group may dislike that they are unable to contribute the ideas

• If the situation is going wrong side then it feeldepressed

• Researches have also found that autocraticleadership lead to a lack of creative solution to solve

any problem• If autocratic leader have less knowledge then group

performance is very low
