Cartridge capacity example − 1% sodium chloride sample

• 1% NaCl contains 170 mequiv per liter of sodium

• 100 µL injection contains 0.017 mequiv of sodium

• Cartridge capacity is 5 mequiv, so…

• Each InGuard Ag cartridge has a nominal capacity of 292 samples

1% NaCl = 10 g/L NaCl

10 g/L NaCl is 10 g / 58.45 g/mol = 0.171 mol
