LOAD TRANSFER SWITCH PANELSLTS

DESCRIPTIONControl panel offered in a metal cabinet with an IP-67 protection grade with the following elements:

1. Two contactors or a motor-driven selector, equipped with mechanical and electrical interlock, preventing them from being closed simultaneously, thus avoiding potential short circuits.

2. Protection fuses.

3. Terminal block for the connection of control signals from the generator set.

4. Terminal block for the connection of the input power cables from the generator set, network input and load output.

5. Connection wiring of all the panel’s electrical items. Each wire is identified with its reference number in each end.

6. Emergency shutdown pushbutton.

7. Front door with lock.

8. Bottom entrance for wiring inlet.

Note.- All panels are protected against direct contact with live parts when the door is open.

FUNCTIONALITYIt enables a change in the power supply (supplying the load of a facility) between the mains and the generator set.

The transfer switch is formed by two contactors or motor-driven selectors equipped with MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL INTER-LOCK.

The operation is controlled from the switchboard mounted in the generator set, type DSE 6120 MKII, DSE 7320 MKII (INMESOL V3 version) or similar.

This panel is suitable for any generator set featuring a control module with AMF (AUTOMATIC MAINS FAILURE) function.

SINGLE-LINE DIAGRAM AND CONNECTIONS

FUNCTIONALITYThis panel has a control and command switchboard type DSE 6120 MKII, DSE 7320 MKII (INMESOL V2 version) or similar that detects when a mains failure occurs and enables the change of power supply (supplying the load of a facility) between the mains and the generator set and vice versa when the mains are restored.

The transfer switch is formed by two contactors or motor-driven selectors equipped with MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL INTERLOCK.

In this case, the generator set does NOT need a control switchboard; this applies to any predisposed genset (INMESOL V1 version) or similar.

SINGLE-LINE DIAGRAM AND CONNECTIONS

FUNCTIONALITYThis panel has a switchboard type DSE 334 that detects when a mains failure occurs and sends a start-up signal to the switchboard type DSE 3110, DSE 6110 MKII, DSE 7310 MKII or similar on the genset.

Once turned on and ready, the DSE 334 panel switchboard operates to enable the change of power supply (supplying the load of a facility) between the mains and the generator set and vice versa when the mains are restored.

The transfer switch is formed by two contactors or motor-driven selectors equipped with MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL INTER-LOCK.

This panel applies to any generator set featuring any switchboard with remote control / start-up by signal feature.

ATS8 AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH PANEL NOT PARALLEL WITH THE MAINS (2 GENSETS OR MORE)

FUNCTIONALITYThis panel has a switchboard type DSE 8660 MKII or similar that detects when a mains failure occurs and sends a start-up signal to the switchboard type DSE 8610 MKII, DEIF COMAP or similar on each of the gensets that make up the parallel system (2 or more gensets). Once started and synchronised, the panel switchboard sends commands opening and closing contactors / motor-driven selectors (with interlock) to change the network supply to the generator

set.

When the mains are restored, the switchboard operates to enable the change of supply from the generator sets to the mains (not synchronised) and afterward it sends signals to the generator set switchboards (DSE 8610 MKII or similar) to stop the engines.

The generator sets work in sync with each other and in stand-by with the mains, but are not synchronised with the mains.

This feature is achieved by complementing the previous application with a standard ATS panel.

LTS is completely standard and the gensets only need an RS 485 cable to connect them and programming.

The DSE 6120 MKII is an automatic switchboard for use in stand-by with the mains, developed to offer a wide range of options for gensets that work alone (not parallel).

DSE 334Control module in stand-by to the mains

The DSE 334 is an automatic switchboard for transfer switch control.

It monitors the AC supply from S1 (primary source) and, in case of failure, it detects it and sends a start-up signal to S2 (secondary source). Once S2 is available and producing an output current within the limits, the DSE 334 that controls the transfer switch, will send a signal to change the load from S1 to S2. When the S1 current supply is again within the limits, the DSE 334 will give the order to return the load to S1 and turn the S2 off.

DSE 7320 MKIIControl module in stand-by to the mains

The DSE 7320 MKII is an advanced switchboard that includes all the characteristics of DSE 6120 MKII with more features, inputs, and outputs. It monitors several parameters of the engine and the alternator. It also includes USB, RS 232, and RS 485 communication ports, as well as DSENet® dedicated terminals for system expansion.

The DSE 8620 is an automatic switchboard for use in stand-by with the mains, with outage-free reconnection (parallel with the mains without outage) It is designed to synchronise a single generator set set with a single power supply. In addition to carrying out the full control of the genset, the DSE 8620 switchboard will automatically control the change from the mains power supply to the generator set source or, once the mains are restored, of the generator set synchronised to the mains, restoring power without outage.

The DSE 8660 is an automatic switchboard for use in stand-by with one or more mains that controls the operation of a system of generator sets connected in parallel. Designed to synchronize single or multiple DSE 8610 MKII and DSE 8680 controllers with one or more power supplies. The DSE 8660 MKII will automatically control the change from the mains to the generator set or generator sets power supply and vice versa (from the generator sets to the mains) when power is restored. This last change may be carried out through a mains reconnection with or without outage.

The DSE 8610 MKII is an automatic synchronization control module. It is normally used in a system where the load is shared by several gensets. The DSE 8610 MKII monitors the generator set and shows the operative status and the failure conditions, automatically starting or stopping the engine according to the load demand or failure condition.
