•CONCLUSION
INTRODUCTION•A system to generate water from atmospheric moisture .
•Use of thermoelectric coupler(TEC-12706).
•DC operated.
•Used in regions of high humidity.
•Condensation of air at dew point.
•Generated water could be used for drinking and irrigation purposes.
•Compact and portable.
DEW POINT•Temperature at which the moisture in air condensed is called dew point.
Tdp - DEW POINT
Hr - RELATIVE HUMIDITY
Ta - TEMPERATURE OF AMBIENT AIR MOISTURE
Tdp = (Hr/100)1/8.(112+0.9Ta) +0.1Ta -112
COMPONENTS•Thermoelectric cooler (TEC-12706).
•Temperature controller Circuit.
•Heat sink
•Fans
•Air filter
•Water filter
•Condenser Plate
TEC-12706Thermoelectric cooler.
DC operated.
Two sides( a p-type and an n-type semiconductor).
Temperature difference of 70oc between the plates.
Peltier effect and electron hole theory.
Consist of a larger amount of thermocouples arranged in rectangular form and packaged between two thin ceramic plates.
TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER•MICROCONTROLLER (ARDUINO UNO)
•HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURE SENSOR (DHT 11)
DC POWER SOURCE MICROCONTROLLER HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURE SENSOR

DESIGN
CONSTRUCTION
WORKING•The objective is to calculate the dew point temperature TDP .
•Temperature controller circuit switches supply according to the dew point.
•Air from the hot side is cooled and condensed at the cool side of TEC.
•Condensed droplets of water is collected in a reservoir.
•Collected water is filtered and could be used for drinking purpose.
PROS AND CONSPROS CONS
• DC SUPPLY • SLOW
• COMPACT • LOCATION SPECIFIC
• LESS POWER CONSUMPTION
POWER CONSUMPTION
COMPONENT POWERTEC – 12706 65W
FANS (2) 12W
ARDUINO 5W
CONCLUSION•1 Litre of water could be produced per hour in high humid regions.
•For large scale implementation, RO and UV water filter can be used.
•The concept of this project can also be used as a better alternative in refrigeration science against conventional systems.
•It can be implemented in high humid regions.
•Solar energy can be used for the power supply.
