AWARDS OVERVIEW SUMMER BOARD 2010

District Level Awards are judged by members throughout the Cali-Nev-Ha district. Applicants deemed worthy are recognized on stage at District Convention.

All submissions must be submitted in PDF format. Paper-based submissions will NOT be accepted.

SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BYMARCH 4, 2011

District Level Awards are judged by Key Club International. Applicants deemed worthy are recognized on stage at International Convention.

Applications must first be submitted for judging at the District Level. At District Convention, contest winners will be announced and the first and second place will go on to compete at the International level.

CLUB POSTERThis contest recognizes club posters that best reflect Key Club ideals and core values and best promotes membership recruitment. Posters may be digitally or traditionally created.

CLUB VIDEOThis contest recognizes club videos that best reflect Key Club ideals and core value.

MAJOR EMPHASISThis contest is award to the Key Club that has most actively participated in the Major Emphasis Project throughout the previous year.

PARTNERS IN SERVICEThis contest recognizes Key Clubs that have actively participated in projects with UNICEF, Children’s Miracle Network, and March of Dimes throughout the previous year.

SINGLE SERVICEThis contest recognizes the club that has created and hosted an outstanding service project in the previous year.

YEAR IN REVIEWThis contest recognizes club scrapbooks for excellence in the creation of a scrapbook that documents the Key club’s activities from the previous year. The scrapbook should promote the ideals and values of Key Club International. The scrapbook may be either traditional, non-traditional, or digital.

DISTRICT AWARDS

OFFICER CONTESTSThese contests recognize club officers that have gone above and beyond in serving their club and fulfilling their duties.

There are two levels of club officer recognition: Outstanding and Distinguished. To apply for outstanding, applicants need only fill and send their respective Outstanding Officer Checklist. For distinguished status, applicants need also submit an e-portfolio of supporting documentation.

The are four club officer contests. They are the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer contests. There is NO longer a Bulletin Editor contest.

ADVISOR CONTESTSKIWANIS & FACULTY ADVISORDIVISIONAL JUDGINGThese contests recognize one Kiwanis advisor and one faculty advisor per division who have gone above and beyond in serving their clubs. These are divisionally judged contests.

JACK LUTHER HALL OF FAMEThis contest recognizes one Kiwanis or faculty advisor from the entire district who has gone above and beyond in serving his/her club for at least 5 years.

MARVIN J. CHRISTIANSENThis contest recognizes one member that has served the district fat least 5 years.

CREATIVE CONTESTSCLUB ATTIREThis contest recognizes club attire that is both appealing and Key Club related. Submissions may include any appropriate forms of attire including shirts, jackets, hats, and aprons.

TALENTThis contest recognizes a club or divisional group that represents the divers talents of the CNH District. Winning groups are chosen to perform at District Convention.

CLUB & DIVISION NEWSLETTERThese contents recognize club and divisional newsletters that promote the ideals and value of Key Club, comply with graphic standards,

INDIVIDUAL CONTESTSMEMBER OF THE YEARDIVISIONAL JUDGINGThis contest recognizes one member per division who has served his or her club, division, and district diligently throughout the past year. This is a divisionally judged contest.
