Overview On this full day tour, you will drive pass the Lapau (the Royal Ceremonial Hall), the Dewan Majlis (Parliament House) and the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque as well as visit the Tamu (Open Market), the Malay Technology Museum, the Brunei Museum and the tomb of the fifth Sultan of Brunei - Sultan Bolkiah (1485 - 1524). After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Royal Regalia Building and the Sultan’s Palace (Istana Nurul Iman) before taking a water taxi ride to the Water Village to visit a house where local cakes and tea will be served. Your tour will end after your visit to the new Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque.

Lapau, Dewan Majlis This is the Royal Ceremonial Hall or the Lapau, where the present Sultan,
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, was crowned on 01st
August 1968.
Sultan Omar Ali Saiffuddien Mosque
The mosque was completed in 1958 and is named after the 28th Sultan Omar Ali
Saiffuddien, who is referred to as the architect of modern Brunei.
Brunei Museum The museum is 6.5km from the city centre and isa most distinctive piece
of architecture along the Brunei River. Most of the museum pieces
inside are unique and priceless items of Islamic Arts.
Istana Nurul Iman (Sultan’s Palace)
Of all the magnificent buildings in the city centre, His majesty’s royal
palace, the Istana Nurul Iman, is the most impressive. The palace is open to the public only during Hari Raya,
when Bruneians and visitors have the opportunity to greet His Majesty and
the Royal Family.
Jame Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque
Known locally as the Kiarong Mosque, this holy piece of architecture is full of grandeur and is the largest in Brunei Darussalam. The mosque was built to commemorate the 25th anniversary of
His Majesty’s reign.
The Royal Regalia Building The Royal Regalia Building was built in 1992 to commemorate the Silver
Jubilee of His Majesty, the Sultan Haji Hassanil Bolkiah’s ascension to
the throne, since 1967.
Information ❖ Mosque are closed on Thursdays & Fridays for
Non-Muslim visitors. ❖ Photography is not allowed inside the Mosques
and Museums.
❖ Ladies visitors are required to wear a black coat/robe (provided by the Mosque) before entering the Mosque.
❖ Shoes must be taken off before entering the Mosque and the Royal Regalia Building.
