HISTORY OF BABYLON GROUP

Babylon Group started its journey in 1986 with Babylon GarmentsLimited with a humble setup. Relentless efforts and a constant persuasionof quality resulted in the group’s expansion to 14 different concerns. Allthe units function independently but operate under the direct supervisionof the group head quarter.Babylon has strong footing in both knit and woven products. Several unitsof the group are dedicated to produce finest quality products for buyersaround the globe. The group is self reliant and is involved in woven wear

manufacturing, knit wear manufacturing, washing plant, printing house,knitting unit, dyeing and finishing of knitted fabrics, embroidery, trimsmanufacturing, paper converting and packaging, apparel trading etc. Italso has fashion wear retailing outlets to satisfy the growing localdemand.

The company currently employs over 10,000 skilled employees and had aturnover of about $90 million in the year 2009. In all the different

production with the workers have to go through a process of continuousand rigorous training to maintain a high standard of production set by themanagement. The group also caters this driving force by ensuringfacilities that exceed the minimum set by international regulators. Itmaintains a fair price shop, medical and day care services, scholarship

programs and other benevolent initiatives for the employees and their family members. As part of their commitment towards the society, thegroup has established a medical service station open for all. Babylon

distributes relief materials including cash to the victims in any part of thecountry during natural adversities.

Quality Policy :

Babylon Group follows stern quality benchmarks to achieve flawlessoutput. The group is equipped with man and machine to comply with the

ever rising global standards. Some of the measures adopted in this regardare -

Use of fabric screening machines, color and shade matchingequipment and metal detectors to ensure making perfect and safe

products.

Centralized research and development activity as part of continuous

strive towards raising product quality and productivity, improvingefficiency and cost reduction.

Regular and rigorous training for every employee has been mademandatory for him/her to achieve acceptable level of performance.

Separate training facilities in each factory unit to continuouslyenhance the skills and perfection of the workers.

Babylon Group is a full ISO Certified factory. It provides &maintains different facilities of ISO.

Its management is responsible about their work & workers. Itfollows a quality system. Jessie Penny. This is the most criticalsystem in quality control. Only a few companies can follow thissystem. But they don’t review their contract. But they maintain it properly. Because contract review is costly. They have Designcontrol, Document & data control, Purchasing, Customer – supplied product, Product identification & traceability & Processcontrol system. They have their own inspection & testing facility.

They have internal quality audit facility. Training & servicingcenter.

For all of these facilities BABYLON Group is now one of theleading companies in our country.





Compliance Facilities followed by BABYLON Group:

• The factory has a doctor and a nurse, having four sick beds for workers.

• It has also a day care center with adequate space.

• The multi storied building has a big cafe for workers lunch.

• A dining room for executive’s lunch.• Lockers are available for both male and female workers

• It has a fixed shop (no profit) for the greater benefit of itsworkers.

• Trained up the unskilled workers.
