Finally I would like to thank all members of our community who supported the students by purchasing a badge. Guinness World Record Aempt : The Baimbridge College world record aempt takes place on the last day of term III. As everyone will have read in last week’s newsleer, we need more than 418 people in the gym at lunch me next Friday to simultaneously stretch a Curly Wurly. Kaine Mitchell of Year 12 has contacted Member for Wannon Mr Dan Tehan to be the adjudicator on the day. It is important that we get as many students and staff there to stretch the Curly Wurlys that have been supplied by our SRC. Hats : As we approach the end of term III I would like to remind everyone that once we enter term IV our expectaon is that everyone wears a hat while they are outside during recess and lunchme. It connues to be very important to be sun smart and protect our skin. This is therefore a good me to make sure that students have a hat to wear. We have Baimbridge College ‘bucket’ type hats available at the office as well as the smarter girls’ sun hats that many of our young ladies prefer to wear. Western Australia : Hamilton District Skill Centre Manager Mr Tony MacGillivray and I will be vising a school in the far north or Western Australia next week. Our Hospitality students have already been speaking to the Yiyili students on Skype and we hope to further our relaonship with the visit. If all goes well we hope to be able to work with the school, its students and community to further the educaon and cultural experiences of our students and theirs. In my absence Miss Rosemary Morgan will be acng principal. Uniform : I would like to remind students and parents that the Baimbridge College School Council has in place a uniform policy that requires all students to wear the school uniform unless there is a circumstance that does not allow this for a short period of me. Anyone who is out of uniform on a parcular day should bring a note of explanaon from a parent or guardian and give it to their Year Level Co-ordinator. Recently a number of students have been wearing canvas footwear. This is not uniform, a school shoe is made of black polishable leather with a heel. Similarly our rules about visible piercings are quite clear and students who choose not to follow them will be given a consequence. Legacy Badge Selling : Congratulations to our students who sold Legacy badges last week. It was reported to Assistant Principal Mr John Hill that our students raised approximately $4500 for Legacy. I would like to thank those students who volunteered to sell badges and I would like to thank the members of Legacy who looked after our students during the two days of selling. Finally I would like to thank all members of our community who supported the students by purchasing a badge.

Guinness World Record Attempt : The Baimbridge College world record attempt takes place on the last day of term III. As everyone will have read in last week’s newsletter, we need more than 418 people in the gym at lunch time next Friday to simultaneously stretch a Curly Wurly. Kaine Mitchell of Year 12 has contacted Member for Wannon Mr Dan Tehan to be the adjudicator on the day. It is important that we get as many students and staff there to stretch the Curly Wurlys that have been supplied by our SRC.

Hats : As we approach the end of term III I would like to remind everyone that once we enter term IV our expectation is that everyone wears a hat while they are outside during recess and lunchtime. It continues to be very important to be sun smart and protect our skin. This is therefore a good time to make sure that students have a hat to wear. We have Baimbridge College ‘bucket’ type hats available at the office as well as the smarter girls’ sun hats that many of our young ladies prefer to wear.

Western Australia : Hamilton District Skill Centre Manager Mr Tony MacGillivray and I will be visiting a school in the far north or Western Australia next week. Our Hospitality students have already been speaking to the Yiyili students on Skype and we hope to further our relationship with the visit. If all goes well we hope to be able to work with the school, its students and community to further the education and cultural experiences of our students and theirs. In my absence Miss Rosemary Morgan will be acting principal.

Uniform : I would like to remind students and parents that the Baimbridge College School Council has in place a uniform policy that requires all students to wear the school uniform unless there is a circumstance that does not allow this for a short period of time. Anyone who is out of uniform on a particular day should bring a note of explanation from a parent or guardian and give it to their Year Level Co-ordinator. Recently a number of students have been wearing canvas footwear. This is not uniform, a school shoe is made of black polishable leather with a heel. Similarly our rules about visible piercings are quite clear and students who choose not to follow them will be given a consequence.
