Accredited Training Supported Learning 20 hours per week – Level 1 and or Level 2 Diplomas in Customer Service Qualification to be delivered by qualified Trainers as well as input from Employers from Retail & Hospitality and Corporate Business Employers. 121 support access to Apprenticeships, Traineeships and Employers. Additionally. Offer the opportunity to progress into further education to enhance employment prospects. Level 1 course lasts approximately 6 weeks, Level 2 Diploma approximately 12 weeks. Depending on the individual’s requirement we can offer training and accreditations outside of those mentioned above i.e. CSCS cards, First Aid at Work etc. There is the opportunity to sample work tasters and provide demonstrable experience on CVs. Once in employment, apprenticeship or traineeship we offer the Participant the option of further in- work support

Non-Accredited Training Supported employability skills training, 20 Hours per week over 12 weeks, providing CV workshops, cover letters, interview skills, confidence and motivation building involving employer input. Participants receive also supported job-search and access to vacancies generated by Employer Engagement team and Employment Coaches. Where needed Participants will receive information and guidance on disclosing criminal convictions to potential employers and have disclosure letters prepared on their behalf. Participants will then have the opportunity to progress into accredited learning, apprenticeships, traineeships, or full-time employment. Once in employment, apprenticeship or traineeship we offer the Participant the option of further in work support. It is also important to note where Participants are not interested in completing structured courses as part of the accredited or non-accredited learning, the option of progressing directly into one or more of the previously mentioned milestones (Apprenticeship, Employment , Traineeship Further Education) remains.

Fire Cadets
1 evening per week, September – July
16 Cadets aged 14-17 take part in a Level 1
BTEC qualification in ‘Our Fire Service and
the Community, covering topics such as Anti-
Social Behaviour and its impact, Fire Safety,
Health and Safety and operational activities.
Uniform is provided, and Cadets have the
opportunity to represent the LFB at various
events including; LFB Carol Service at St
Pauls Cathedral,
London Marathon, New Year’s Day Parade
etc. There is also a very clear progression
path for any young person who opts to stay
with us.
Volunteer Community Instructors – Cadets
Members of the community aged 18+ can
become volunteer instructors for Fire Cadets.
Candidates will receive training and will have
the opportunity to work alongside firefighters
and LFB staff to deliver Fire Cadets. Equally
having opportunities to represent the LFB at
the afore mentioned events. There are also
opportunities to take part in qualifications
sourced by the LFB.
14-17 young people who have a keen
interest in the Fire Service, can commit
to the full year and once a week session.

Juvenile Fire setters Intervention Scheme
(JFIS)
Works with young people who display fire
fascination, fire play or fire setting behaviour
ages 0-18 or possibly up to 25 if the young
person has special needs. One to one work
with a caseworker to address the fire setting
behaviour/s.
Young person must attend JFIS before
attending any of the above programmes if
fire fascination/play/setting behaviours have
been identified.

Our accredited pre-Apprenticeship
(Traineeship) programme is a 13-week
training and job placement induction course
that provides candidates with the confidence,
presentation and pre-employment support and
skills to find that all important first job and to
taking that all important first step in starting an
apprenticeship in the industry of their choice.
The first 6 weeks are classroom based at our
Romford branch which includes the
guaranteed opportunity to meet and interview
with employers from week 4. After the
classroom-based learning those successful in
their interview will start the 7 weeks work
placement with the expectation of then
completing a successful apprenticeship.
Cherelle Palmer who runs this program is
always available to attend schools and referral
16-24 year olds (Traineeship) To be

already achieved a L3 or previously
completed an apprenticeship.

Middleton Murray also deliver L2 to L5

new and existing workforces which includes

from 12 months for a level 2 to 24-30 months
for a management L5.

This intensive support service helps young
people who have mental health, drug and
alcohol, or substance misuse support needs,

The JP Morgan Transform and Achieve
programme is a hugely impactful employability
course designed for anyone looking for a job.
The training is run by high quality, experienced
and dedicated staff.
The 10 – 12 days of employability training and
long term support are completely FREE for
participants. Everyone who takes part will also
be given travel and lunch expenses.
The aim of the programme is to progress all
participants into work, training, volunteering
and/or apprenticeships. Currently it is running
with a 76% success rate with over 50% of
delegates going directly into work.

Business Traineeships
Our accredited pre-Apprenticeship
(Traineeship) programme is a 12 -week
training and job placement induction course
that provides candidates with the confidence,
presentation and pre-employment support and
skills to find that all important first job and to
taking that all important first step in starting an
apprenticeship in the industry of their choice.
The first 6 weeks are classroom based at our
Romford branch which includes the
guaranteed opportunity to meet and interview
with employers from week 4. After the
classroom based learning those successful in
their interview will start a paid 6 weeks work
placement with the expectation of then
completing a successful apprenticeship.
Luke Reinbach who runs this program is
always available to attend schools and referral
partners to discuss the program further.
16-24 year olds (Traineeship) To be eligible the applicant must have not already achieved a L3 or previously completed an apprenticeship. The STC Group deliver L2 to L5 accredited
apprenticeship qualifications for new and
existing workforces which includes supporting
employers affected by the Apprenticeship
levy.
The qualifications we deliver are in Business
admin, Recruitment, Customer service, and
Accounting, with course lengths anything from
12 months for a level 2 to 15-18 months for a
L3.
Hair and Beauty & Personal Training Short
Courses
Our Hair & beauty courses are delivered in a
vocational environment with hands on
experience in the workplace, enabled by our
beauty salon partner Glitz and Glam based in
Romford, it is the perfect place to start your
beauty therapy career. Courses are suitable for
beginners to experienced professionals looking
to gain qualifications or move towards
supervision, management or self-employment.
Our Personal Training courses are delivered
via blended learning i.e. At a gym and online
coursework supported by the tutors.
Our apprenticeship qualifications can be delivered to anyone that is 16yrs+ and not in full time education. Graduates can now complete an apprenticeship qualification as long as the skill they are learning is something new. 18yrs + These courses can be funded and
commercially run depending on eligibility

Make Your Mark is a free creative holiday
project involving media and hands on
