2. After you knit 10cm/4in of P1, K4 rib, start knitting K1, P4 rib. Knit 12cm/5in in the following manner. Decrease Row 1: *K1, P1, P2tog, P1* repeat from * till the end of row. You will have 66 sts on your needles. Rows 2-3: Knit K1, P3 rib; Row 4: *K1, P1, P2tog* repeat from * till the end of row. You will have 52 sts on your needles Rows 5-6: Knit K1, P2 rib; Row 7: *K1, P2tog* repeat from * till the end of row. You will have 38 sts on your needles. Note: Switch to double pointed needles if necessary Rows 8-9: Knit K1, P1 rib; Row 10: K2tog until the end of row. You are left with 24 sts; Rows 11-12: K until end of row Row 13: K2tog until the end of row. Now you have only 10sts left. Cut yarn, leave the long tail and thread it through the remaining 10 stitches. Pull tight and weave in the end on the inside of the beanie.
