G1 vs. Josh and Cormack Coalition

The sisters arrived at the Cru3 engagement zone with a spring in their step. They were greeted by a

most curious sight. In addition to the Eldar army the Ecclesiarchy cables had told them to expect,

amongst their ranks were imperial guard, legion of the damned, and what looked like a stolen Dark Eldar

grav-tank. How curious! remarked Lady Penelope de la Fleur, Canoness of the Battle Sisters Order of

the Sacred Leaf. I had expected these pointy eared fellows, but what are these humans doing here?

Um, mlady, they could be defectors murmured Troy, one of her more grovelly Special Advisors.

In that case.. let us engage!

Early doors: The sisters attempted to rush the eldar deployment zone under heavy multi laser fire.

Sisters rhino Annie was blown up even before she moved, forcing the unit to disembark! The guard

peppered these poor girls with lasgun fire, while the legion of the damned looked menacingly at them.

In response, the seraphim burst from cover, and routed a unit of eldar guardians.

Mid point: Every (twin linked) multi laser in the eldar coalition army was pointed at the unfortunate

seraphim. A combination of terrible shooting, and Faith in the Emperor of Mankind, meant that after

this fusillade 5 seraphim still flew above the battlefield! The seraphim were ready to re-pay this xenos

compliment: they multi-assaulted a vyper and the second guardian unit and failed to wound! The

guardians slew two of the ladies in return, causing them to flee, and in fact they were run down and

wiped out! The cheers of eldar, men, and genetic mutants rang out over the battlefield!

While this was going down, the second unit of sisters in the blessed rhino Clarabel rushed in and

claimed the coalition objective! To make matters worse for the coalition, a dominion rhino appeared on

the flank, blowing up a jetbike!

End Game: The swooping hawks, who had been busy taking pot shots at flying seraphim all game,

spotted the dominion rhino, and laughed. No silly imperium vehicle could combat their haywire

grenades! And so it was that, verily, the dominions rhino was wrecked, and Penelope got out, in a very

foul mood. She took her anger out on the swooping hawks, who sensibly made for the table edge before

    bad stuff happened.

And so it was, at the end of the battle, the sisters had 2 objectives, and the coalition 1. But wait? Who

was this coming over the horizon? The Wraithlord! Aaaargh! It waded into combat with the sisters, causing utter mayhem in the ranks, dragging them off the objective and securing a draw!

Reflections: more information needed on defectors.

    G2 vs. Doug Dark Angels

After escaping the coalition with a tactical draw, the sisters next mission was to engage the Dark Angels.

As Penelope arranged her elaborate bee-hive and haircombs, she remarked to Troy: This really is most

bizarre.. I know they are moody fellows, those space marines, but being ordered to kill them seems

    harsh. Oh well!

Mlady, they have many ranged weapons. Perhaps we should requisition the blessing of an Exorcist?

    Oh do be quiet Troy

    Yes, mLady

Early doors: The dominion rhinos scouted forward to the levy, and one was driven into the river and

immobilized. Drat, what luck. The Dark Angels ordinance was unerring, and with grim efficiency, the

space marines proceeded to immobilize or destroy the sisters transports.

Mid Point: The seraphim, having jumped into assault range of the terminators, ran away, however

Penelope rallied them: call yourselves seraphim?! Get in there!! Which they did. Then they died. At

this point Penelope hid in a rhino.

End Game: the sisters beat a hasty retreat!

    Reflections: Perhaps Troy was right.

    G3 vs. Dave McGuire Tau

Ah this is much more like it! These are exactly the type of aliens we should be killing Penelope was

clearly very happy with her next mission. Troy, my dear, did you mention that their stealth troops and

vespid were especially useless? Perhaps we should just ignore them then. Penelope did not notice as

she left her preparation chamber that she had forgotten her favourite haircomb

Early doors: The sisters managed to secure the initiative, and with a hearty scout manoeuvre, the

dominion rhinos were nearly at the Tau line. The seraphim started scaling the dizzy heights of a nearby

building to snare the broadside battlesuit, who had a commanding battlefield position. Penelopes rhino,

in the vanguard of course, was an early victim of the prudent flank attack of the stealth suits and

broadside railguns. Curse that Troy and his terrible advice!. A flustered Penelope dusted herself down,

primed her bolt pistol, and led the charge against the unfortunate fire warriors, who were routed.

Mid Point: The last firewarrior unit, sensing the danger, took careful aim and blew away most of

    Penelopes entourage.

Penelope suddenly realized she had left her lucky haircomb at home, and ran for the table edge. Around

the same time, the seraphim meted out the Emperors Deliverance to the Broadside, who ran for it. I like

to think they exchanged pleasantries as they passed each other on their way to their respective table

edges, but who knows what they actually said? The Tau crisis suit commander showed up around now,

blowing up another rhino, and the vespid managed to immobilize another, before spotting the Canoness

    fleeing the battle

End Point: The vespid kindly escorted Penelope from the field. Although there were many sisters left,

one whole scoring unit had been wiped and the others had got pinned under heavy drone fire. The

seraphim were also too far away to contest. With the stealth and crisis suits closing in, and the

firewarriors proudly holding their line, a win for the Tau was secured.

Reflections: Great tactical nous shown by the Tau general. The Emperor teaches that a little hubris is a

good thing, while too much may result in untimely death.

    G4 vs. Chris Connelly Necrons

doo- doo doo- doo, doodoodoo, doodle-ooodle-oodle-oodle-oooh! Penelope hummed while getting

ready to face the necromantic robots, her confidence having been restored by flogging a few Heretics.

Where did that tune come from.?

Early doors: The necrons got ready to boost into the sisters lines, but through some action of the

Emperor (surely), the initiative was lost! The sisters castled up one flank, and faced off against a unit of

destroyers, who held out for a few turns before falling in close combat.

    8/9

Mid Point: The blessings of the Emperor were indeed many. For example, every combi-melta shot, hit

and penetrated. Weird, eh? When the sisters decided to take a massive gamble to get the second unit of

destroyers, this is what they rolled to wound:

End Game: The sisters managed to hold out for the victory their first of the campaign!

Reflections: No luck for the necrons, no doubt they will reinforce?
