Highlights 2019
Emily Crofton“Throughout my time at Bay House, I have had amazing support from the staff. When tackling a personal struggle, my brilliant teachers and fantastic tutor offered advice, care and opportunities in order to get me back on my feet. All of the staff are selfless and always go above and beyond in their job roles in order to maximise your potential. Whilst Bay House has been a challenge, one that comes naturally with A Levels, I have no regrets and am incredibly grateful to everyone who has shaped not only these two years but the person I am today.”
Ashlyn Brune Park “The staff at Bay House constantly do everything in their power to ensure that every single student fulfils their potential. The quality of teaching is truly exceptional and all the teachers go above and beyond anything that could be expected of them. They are always available to offer additional time and support to ensure that you understand all of the subject content, and the Sixth Form team are never too busy to give you a helping hand or some much needed advice. The pastoral care is second to none. I couldn’t thank the Sixth Form enough for everything they’ve done to help me over the past 2 years. Although A Levels have been my toughest challenge yet, I couldn’t have chosen a better place to undertake these studies. I will take with me the memories I have made here and the things I have learnt for the rest of my life.”
Cameron Bay House “Studying at Bay House Sixth Form has provided me with many opportunities to engage further with the subjects I love, both inside and outside the classroom. The support offered by my teachers has been exceptional and their dedication to giving individually focused support has challenged me to achieve my potential. I will always be thankful to everyone who made Sixth Form such a great experience. I will always look back with fond memories.”
Nathan Bay House “The last 2 years studying in the Sixth Form have by far been the most productive and enjoyable years out of the 7 years I have spent at Bay House. The atmosphere is perfect for students that want to push themselves to succeed because of the encouragement from the staff and the opportunities for one-on-one meetings with teachers. The teachers are extremely dedicated and invested in your goals, which I found was a massive boost. My time at Bay House Sixth Form has been overwhelmingly positive and it has produced a lot of fond memories.”
Max Fareham Academy“I have thoroughly enjoyed my 2 years at Bay House. The high quality of teaching has pushed me to achieve my best by providing a vast amount of extra-curricular sessions and always being accessible for queries. Any issues have been
quickly and effectively dealt with by the Sixth Form office. Bay House has been the best environment to complete my A Levels and has given me a great platform for university”
Bay House is a truly unique Sixth Form‘‘
The support offered by my teachers has been exceptional ‘‘
Toby Cams Hill “Bay House is a truly unique Sixth Form. What really makes it stand out from other colleges is the small class sizes that give you the support and attention you need as a student to achieve your goals. I developed great relationships with my teachers which enabled me to enjoy every lesson, making A Levels as stress-free as possible. I feel I have really developed as a student and a person, and have met so many like-minded people to me who have become really great friends of mine. The Sixth Form team made the process of applying to university through UCAS later than the normal deadline extremely easy. I have made great memories over the last 2 years and would recommend Bay House to anyone.”
Malachi Home Educated “Coming from a home-educated background, and a quiet one-year course at a vocational college, understandably, my first few weeks in a massive school environment were a huge culture shock. I was a little tempted to quit at first, but the immense support offered by the Sixth Form in all departments helped me to quickly settle into a comfortable place where I could work to my full potential.
My tutor always made time if I needed to talk about work or life and my teachers were dedicated to giving me the best teaching they could provide, even if that meant giving up their lunch times or after school hours to help. The sixth form office were always on the ball to properly inform and guide to make sure I and any other students didn’t ‘fall through the cracks’ in stressful times, especially in exam seasons. I’ve really enjoyed my time at Bay House Sixth Form. With me putting the necessary work in, and everyone’s support along the way, I’m feeling confident about achieving my desired results in my subjects.”
Peter Brune Park“The passion and dedication of the teachers has given me opportunities I would never have thought possible and two rewarding years of study where I have grown so much as a person and made friends for life.”
Gemma Bay House“Through the ups and downs of my 7 years at Bay House, I can honestly say that I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The outstanding teaching is by far the best from any other local colleges and the teachers themselves have made my time here easier and enjoyable. Undeniably, the work has been tough, but the Sixth Form has really pushed me to achieve my full potential and encouraged me to have faith in my own abilities. Although I am excited to start university, I am sad to leave Bay House. Having been here from the age of 11 to the age of 18, Bay House has equipped me with an invaluable skillset for the future and memories that I will treasure forever.”
...deciding to come here was one of the best and most memorable choices I have made
‘‘
Georgia Cams Hill “Bay House has really helped me to achieve my goals and has pushed me to succeed in the 2 years I have spent here. All of my teachers, as well as the Sixth Form team have always supported me both
emotionally and academically, making the step up from secondary school more manageable. A Levels are certainly challenging, however I feel nowhere else would have prepared me as well as Bay House has for exams, UCAS applications and my future career!”
Katie Crofton “Throughout my time at Bay House, I was both challenged to be the best I could be as well as being supported throughout many important decisions. The teachers work tirelessly to ensure all lessons are worthwhile and are more than happy to help you outside of lessons where they can. A Levels are hard - at times it felt impossible - but there was always someone who could help; don’t be afraid to ask.”
Paulo Crofton “My time at Bay House has been thoroughly enjoyable. The relaxed teaching style meant that learning was much more enjoyable than at secondary school. My teachers were always very approachable, meaning it was
easy to get help when I needed it - this gave me the support to be able to push myself to my full potential. My tutor and the Sixth Form team were always incredibly helpful with my university applications and immensely knowledgeable on the whole process. The staff and people at Bay House are what makes it special compared to any other college.”
Millie Brune Park “The step up from Brune Park was undoubtedly a big one but the continual support and encouragement I received throughout my 2 years here meant that I was able to overcome this and really enjoy my time at Bay House. The teachers and Sixth Form team have done everything to support me and ensure I reach my full potential, and were always there for one to one help when I needed it. The atmosphere of the Sixth Form was such a drastic change to my secondary school, but Bay House has proven to be the best choice I could have made!”

The sixth form is outstanding in
all respects.
Achievement in the sixth
form is exceptionally high,
enabling students to move on to
universities and employment of
their choice. Over a third gain
admission to leading universities,
a much higher proportion than
that found nationally.
Teaching in the sixth form is of
a very high quality. Students
are motivated by their teachers
to aim for the highest grades
possible and given the skills to
reach them.
The leadership of the sixth form
is outstanding in all respects.
