Blackbird Letterpress is a fine art printmaking studio inBaton Rouge, Louisiana. Founded in 2003, we blend traditionaltechniques and organic forms with new technology andcontemporary design. Our original stationery brings fun tocorrespondence. Choose from animal shaped cards thatcan hold a gift card, money, or love note. With sturdy bindingand letterpress printed covers, our recycled smooth papernotebooks are perfect for writing, drawing, and musing. Ournovelty movable animals, info spinners, and perpetual calendarsare sure to please any age. In the printshop, we use recycled and tree-free materials, citrus based solvents and low VOC inks- making a small footprint with a bold impact. Write to someone special, draw a new plan, keep in touch, save the world.

PLEASE NOTEBecause all Blackbird Letterpress goods are printed by hand, productsmay vary slightly. The impression you see in our paper goods will varydepending on the paper and type of relief image we use. A lino-cutleaves less impression than a photopolymer plate, for example. Whilewe enjoy the texture debossing creates, we will not exceed the ability ofour press or compromise our type or print blocks to make a deeperimpression than good printing demands. In everything we print, we strive to maintain high quality and strong design.

ECO COMMITMENTWe are committed to decreasing our footprint on the planet. We uselow VOC inks, citrus solvents for clean up, and recycled & tree-freenon-chlorine bleached papers.
