Simple Gift. Remarkable Results.My New Red Shoes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2006 to provide children in need with new shoes and a back-to-school shopping experience to improve their self-esteem, educational experience and quality of life. By providing this service, My New Red Shoes seeks to fulfill a basic need and remove barriers to school success for children.

Over the last ten years, My New Red Shoes has given more than 45,000 local underprivileged children and youth with the simple gift of kindness, compassion and community responsiveness.

ABOUT MY NEW RED SHOES

Shoe-per Bowl is  an annual large-scale community-wide shoe collection competition to motivate and inspire support for My New Red Shoes through the donation of shoes and funds.  During this  month-long  event, schools, companies, civic and community groups form teams to collect physical and virtual  shoe  donations and contributions are tracked via an online leaderboard.

TEAM SPIRIT Forming a team is a great way to build camaraderie, energize your network and create a fun, team effort – all in support of children.

BIG IMPACTParticipating in a large-scale community campaign leverages your group’s contribution and allows you to make a bigger impact.

GREAT PUBLICITYYour team’s name and/or logo will be displayed on promotional materials, social media and press releases. Starting February 6, ongoing results will be posted on our website and social media sites. Register your team’s participation by January 6 to get additional pre-game exposure.

PRIZESIn addition to bragging rights, morale boosts and publicity, the team that collects the most pairs of brand new shoes will have their team name inscribed on the famed Shoe-per Bowl Trophy and receive an invitation to an exclusive summertime My New Red Shoes event to distribute gifts to the children we serve. Teams can boost motivation by offering additional prizes that are uniquely attractive to your team members.

BENEFITS

GETTING STARTED Identify a Team Captain and register your participation. We welcome teams of all sizes and types! Teams can be formed by an individual, corporate department, school, community group or business. Consider raising the stakes by challenging a rival group to participate and compete against each other.

THE STRATEGY To help ensure your success, My New Red Shoes will provide you with strategies, game plans, timelines and resources to rally your team into the end zone.

HOW TO SCOREEvery pair of shoes or $25 donation will add one (1) point to your team's score. The team with the highest score at the end of Shoe-per Bowl will win! Donations can come in two different ways:

1. Donate Shoes - New athletic shoes can be dropped off at your site and manually entered on your team’s Shoe-per Bowl platform.

2. Donate Funds - Monetary donations will also count towards your collection goals. Every $25 donation will count as another pair of shoes donated from your team!

Our leaderboard goes live on February 6th! Visit our official Shoe-per Bowl web page to track your team’s progress in real time and see how you stack up against your competitors.

TEAM DUESBy registering, each team is committing to collecting a minimum of 100 pairs of shoes (or cash equivalent valued at $25 per shoe) delivered to My New Red Shoes by end of business March 1, 2017.

PLAYBOOK

GAME CLOCKThe Shoe-per Bowl will take place from February 6th though February 28th, 2017. Shoe-per Bowl officially begins the Monday after The Superbowl and teams can continue to collect donations until Tuesday, February 28th at 11:59pm. At midnight the leaderboard will close and a winner will be determined. Teams may begin collecting shoes and funds prior to kick-off but must wait until game time begins on Monday, February 6th to add them to their team’s score on the Shoe-per Bowl Website. To count towards your team’s score, all donations must be delivered to My New Red Shoes by 5pm on March 1, 2017.

FINAL RESULTSResults will be announced on Friday, March 3rd 2017.
