From the desk at T Bar… Welcome to the eleventh annual “Best of the Breeds” Bull Sale. 2015 comes with a little change...since Parkland Livestock is closed, this annual leading event has been moved to Heartland at Yorkton, a stranger to no one in the area and a sale barn in which several of you market your calves. The most important feature has not changed.....”Best of the Breeds” remains one of the few one-stop shopping events in Western Canada every spring. It is a sale designed to supply necessary breeds in the livestock industry with both Continental and British infl uence. The Continental breeds, Charolais, Simmental and Gelbvieh will add performance and pounds of calf at weaning while complimenting the British Black and Red Angus who bring maternal and calving ease components. This sale allows farmers and ranchers to evaluate some of the fi nest representatives of their respective breeds...all under one roof in one trip! This is not a consignment sale...it is a group of leading producers, whose herds are not large enough to sustain their own stand alone event. Each breeder is a leader within their respective breed and dedicated to supply the highest of quality for their customers. We thought it fi tting to lead off the catalogue with a bull that is arguably one of the best we have raised. Our lead off bull last year, a paternal brother, was purchased by Ter-Ron Farms. Hustle 53B has the qualities to be a game changer offering an exclusive outcross genetic package. His dam 702X is a rare SSS Twitch daughter and was one of the high sellers from the Cow Girls sales a few years ago. Unfortunately we lost 702X this fall, but we are using a son of hers in our herd (Soldier 41Z sire of lot 36 and 37) and are impressed with his progeny. 53B is a deep sided, well-muscled, free moving bull with an exceptional foot and good testicle development. He has a strong top, beautiful neck extension, a moderate birth weight, and a great set of numbers. I can’t say enough good things about 53B; his dam was a top producer and his sire has proven his worth. Hustle 53B is a feature bull and one that we would like to use in our herd. We bought the dam of 33B at the Riverdale dispersal a few years back; she traces back to the popular Ardath cow family. She has consistently raised a powerful calf with two daughters being retained in the herd. The breeding combination with Hustle has worked well in the past and 33B is one that rises to the top. These Soldier calves are a neat bunch; defi nitely top tier in the bull offering and a bit of a different pedigree for us. The sire, MTH 41Z, is a direct son of the 702X cow who is the dam of MTH 53B, selling as Lot 27 Soldier 9B comes out of a high selling heifer purchased from Ter-Ron Farms a few years ago; she has hit a home run with her fi rst calf in 9B. His pedigree contains some of the most prolifi c blood lines in the Red Angus breed. Bidding:Each animal will sell to the highest bidder. In the case of adispute, bidding will be reopened between the partiesinvolved in the dispute. If no further bidding is made, thebuyer will be the person from whom the auctioneeraccepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision on alldisputes will be final.

Announcements:All announcements made from the auction block will takeprecedence over the printed matter in the catalogue.Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention tosuch disclosures.

Breeder’s Guarantee:Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over fail toprove a breeder after being used on females known to bebreeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to theseller within six (6) months following the date of purchaseor six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen (14)months of age. The seller will have the right and privilege ofsix (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee isgiven that semen collected from the bull will freeze.

Exception Guarantee:In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal orsurgical reproduction techniques after the sale, thisguarantee shall be null and void.

Certificate of Registration:Each animal will carry papers issued by the CanadianCharolais, Angus, Simmental, and Gelbvieh Associations. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

Health:All animals in the sale have met all necessaryhealth requirements.

Neitherdoes T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. assume any financialobligations to collect or enforce collection of any moniesbetween parties and any legal action that may inexceptional cases be taken must be between the buyer andthe seller. T Bar C Cattle Co. Ltd. assumes no responsibilityfor any credit extended by the seller to the buyer. The buyermust look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees andrepresentations made here under.

Rights & Obligations:The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitutea contract between the buyer and seller and be equallybinding to both. Resale of animals following purchase inthis sale shall constitute a separate transaction and therights and obligations of the two parties connected theretoare not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.

Phone, Mail, Wire Bids:Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mailtheir bids and instructions to the sale managers, auctioneeror special representatives. Bids must be received insufficient time prior to the sale.

Delivery:We will assist in arranging transportation whereverpossible. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaseras soon as sold.

Insurance:Will be available sale day. We strongly recommend thatinsurance is purchased for full value.

Errors:All announcements at sale time, written or oral, supersedeany written material in the catalogue.
