Fibre Net presents the system of Betontex composite material, consisting of fabrics, lam-ination and preformed bars in FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer), to impreg-nate and/or glue “in situ” by means of epoxy type thermosetting resins.
The BETONTEX® systems are suitable to be applied on the following substrates:
• MASONRY • REINFORCED CONCRETE
• WOOD• STEEL
STRUCTURAL DETERIORATION, A THEME OF CONSERVATION AND SAFETY
THE BETONTEX® SYSTEMS INCLUDE
• UNIDIRECTIONAL FABRICS IN CFRP
• MESHES AND BI-DIRECTIONAL
FABRICS IN CFRP
• MULTIAXIAL FABRICS IN CFRP
• CABLES IN CFRP/GFRP
• LAMINATES AND BARS IN CFRP
The reinforcing materials are impregnated and applied to the supports with thermosetting epoxy resins.
The deterioration of structures in reinforced concrete and/or masonry, often requires interventions of consolidation able to restore the mechanical characteristics of the built structures. Combining the need for the conservation of historic buildings and the question of safety, as well as the need to intervene promptly and effectively on structures and infrastructures, certainly represents one of the main problems that the designer must solve in the moment in which he draws up a plan for structural reinforcement.
Today one of the recognised solutions in the sector of consolidation is represented by composite materials, which give the designer a valid alternative to traditional materi-als.
APPLICATIONS
• IMPROVEMENT OF THE SHEAR STRENGTH AND FLEXURAL STRENGTH OF BEAMS
• INCREASING THE DUCTILITY AND SHEAR STRENGTH ON COLUMNS AND PILLARS
• CONFINEMENT OF BEAM-PILLAR PANEL POINTS
• INCREASING THE FLEXURAL STRENGTH OF CEILING SLABS AND PLATES
• IMPROVEMENT OF THE RESISTANCE OF THE MASONRY WHEN IN PLANE AND OUT OF PLANE
• ENCHAINMENTS, CONFINEMENTS AND REINFORCEMENT RINGS OF BUILDINGS
• CONSOLIDATION OF ARCHES AND VAULTS
The great versatility of the composites, their low invasiveness and the possibility of planning the material according to the use and the final goal, allow you to combine the need for reinforcement with the need for conservation of the structure, making such technologies applicable even for the reinforcement of historic structures subject to heritage conservation limitations.
The confinement of the beam-pillar panel points, the shear and flexural strength of the beams, the flexural and/or shear strength of the ceiling slabs are the primary reinforcement interventions of structures in reinforced concrete and precast concrete. The use of FRP composite materials allows you to carry out consolidation quickly and easily, improving the mechanical strength and the ductility of the structure without interrupting the activities related to the use of the structure that is being reinforced.

The use of BETONTEX® reinforcement systems, consisting of fabrics in glass fibre, carbon and aramid, to apply in situ by means of polymer thermosetting resins, allows you to increase the shearing, flexural and compression strength of historical or modern structures. It allows you to provide localised reinforcements and reinforcement rings in the most critical areas such as pillars, beams, beam-pillar connections and for the interfloor and top ceiling slabs. The intervention takes place in a timely manner, by calibrating the quantity and arrangement of the fibers, so as to optimise the mechanical properties of the reinforcement according to the required improvement needs.
The availability of the fibres in the form of unidirectional, bidirectional and multiaxial fabrics to impregnate in situ, making them very easy to model, allows interventions on structures with architectural elements with irregular geometries.
