Whitney Franklin - GARRY PLOTTER

Whitney studied Theatre and English at both Capilano College and Simon Fraser Uni-versity, and now works as an English and junior Drama teacher at Howe Sound Secon-dary School. She has been actively involved in Squamish community theatre for the past 18 years, as an actor, stage manager, and director. Recent directing/assistant di-

recting credits include The Mirror Game, Suessical Jr., Bridal Terrorism, Beauty and the Beast and High School Musical. Previous Between Shifts Theatre Company roles include Cinderella (Cinderella), In-specting Carol (MJ), Black Comedy (Carol), and Unity 1918 (Mary), as well as roles in The Rocky Horror Show (Janet) and Our Favorite Broadway (Ensemble). Whitney is excited to be a part of the inaugural season of Euphoric Theatre as the director of The Santaland Diaries, which runs December 18-20th at the Eagle Eye Theatre. See you there!

Liz Gruber - SEGREGATING HAT

Liz is happy to be back on stage with some old friends. Liz has been acting with Be-tween Shifts Theatre for 13 years and has directed 4 shows, including 2 Monty Python Revues and the very successful Fawlty Towers. She was last seen cavorting about as Miss Furnival in "A Black Comedy". Liz wishes to note that she is still waiting for her

first on stage love scene.

Amy has truly enjoyed her time being back in the theatre and looks forward to tak-ing part in more productions in the future ... as long as they don’t interfere with her volunteer work as the Media Coordinator for the Squamish Days Loggers Sports Festival. Amy is excited to be performing in her first Between Shifts Theatre show

as Jenny Sneezely. Amy’s previous theatre credits include leading roles in Harvey and Grease while at Howe Sound Secondary and an ensemble role in Our Favourite Broadway.

Amy Fast - JENNY SNEAZLEY

Emma Pederson - HURTMYKNEE Emma has been performing in Squamish since the age 5. Over the years she has stud-ied acting, dancing and singing and these loves have fused into musical theatre. The last two summers she has studied musical theatre at the Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance! camp in Vancouver. This past year in Squamish she played two polar opposite charac-

ters; Veruca Salt in Willy Wonka Jr. and Gabriella in High School Musical. Emma is a self proclaimed Harry Potter fanatic and often tests others on their HP knowledge. She has been waiting for this show since elementary school, where she and her friends wore cloaks, held wands and owls and spoke in Eng-lish accents. Emma would like to thank all the cast and crew for a hilarious run. ...Emma is still wait-ing for her Hogwarts letter.

Joey Wong - ROB SNEAZLEY

Joey's first taste of the big stage was in Gr. 4 but it was the role of "Oliver Warbucks" in Broadway or Bust's "Annie, Jr." that truly opened his eyes to the world of performing arts. Since then, he has enjoyed playing roles in pantos, dramatic and musical theatre productions. He is very grateful for all the encouragement and enthusiasm from the

production team, cast and crew of "Garry Plotter" and hopes you all enjoy the show!

Daniel Watson - DRANO

Daniel Watson loves to perform and he loves music. He has been in several different plays and musical prior to this one. If he can get a laugh out of one person in the audi-ence his time on stage will have been worthwhile. His is most at home on stage per-forming and plans on pursuing musical theatre as a career.

Ben Pietla -BOYLE

Emma Wong - GEORDIE SNEAZLEY

Jeanne Cameron - EVIL WIZARD "Jeanne Cameron thanks Kathy and Between Shifts for giving her an opportunity to bond with her inner bad girl. The rest of you beware! MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA!"

Skai Stevenson has now been in so many plays since his debut in 1984 that he has now been type cast for all the old guy parts. Here he is contemplating his next role.

Skai Stevenson - PROF. FUMBLEMORE

Emma has performed on stage (and in the shower) for as long as she can remember! There's no challenge she won't shy away from: be it "Fang", a tough-talking wolf gang member, or the pathetic cow from "Into the Woods, Jr.". Emma is in Gr. 8 at Howe Sound Secondary and can't wait to be a part of the school's dramatic and musical thea-

tre program. Emma wants to thank everybody who contributed to make this production a huge success!

Ben started getting into acting while he was in high school. His first pantomime was Dracula in 2004 with Between Shifts. When Aladdin came along his character was a perfect fit! Ben loves being himself on stage, and then some. Another Pantomime? How could Ben resist….

Michael Lyons - HAGGERED

As a teenager, he played the part of an Apostle in a Maritime touring production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Now, many years later, , he has been given the opportunity to continue to follow his love of performing on stage. He am blessed to be part of such a talented group of people, especially “the kids”.

He thanks to Deborah and ‘Chelle for their support.

Randy Marohn - PROF. MCNOTAGAL

“What? The opportunity for me to be on stage in a dress again? Awesome, I’m in!” In the short space of four years, Randy has somehow managed to be publicly seen in fishnet stockings (The Rocky Horror Show); an SS Commander uniform – complete

with swastika (a Saturday afternoon matinee cameo in The Sound Of Music); a pair of butterfly wings (Youthfest 2005 – thank you Adriane); A rather stunning sheer dress and wig . . . AND completely nude (Monty Python’s Naughty Bits – thank you Liz). He has danced (A Chorus Line); sang (Squamish Nights Live – Sea To Sky Singers); and attempted to be serious (Nutmeg Sunsets – thanks Kathy). Now, the chance to dance, sing, and flitter around the stage in a dress sporting huge tracks of land . . . well, ya just know that he just couldn’t pass on that kind of excitement. Thanks to Between Shifts for the fun, and kudos to a fantastic cast. Now, if he could only manage to pray that Wizards For Life song out of his head.

Carla Fuhre - PROF. SNAKE

Carla has done a few shows with Between Shifts in the past 7 years but this is her first musical and she is THRILLED! No it is not Mama Mia, but loads of fun any-way. Kudos to all the very talented young people in this production, I am humbled by your singing and dancing abilities. And speaking of dancing, watch out for the wild

and crazy moves in the last show stopping number!!!

Claire is thrilled to be making a comeback with Between Shifts Theater! Her last appearance was when she was 7 years old. She has also performed in Broadway or Bust, Our Favorite Broadway and High School Musical. In her final year of high school she is so happy to have found time between sports and other activities to

participate in this amazing pantomime!

Claire Ourom - KATIE

Kimberley Armour - NICOLA

Kimberly, former child star of elementary school productions, is now a server at the Brackendale Bistro, and has just completed her Master’s Degree in Environmental Education and Communication. After successfully auditioning for the role of Nicola in this production of Garry Plotter she is happily living the cliché of educated server/

actress. Off stage Kimberly likes to explore lands of make believe with her side kick K-9, Mr. Sunny Fatty Lumpkin.

Matt Jennings - UNCLE VERMIN

Christine Gavin-Bartlett - AUNTIE PATOOTIE

This is Christine's second production with Between Shifts Theatre. She is very thankful to be given the opportunity to be part of this production. Thanks to a great cast and lots of laughs!

Matt is excited to be acting in his very first pantomime ever. Currently Matt is single. Known as M.J., he enjoys long walks on the beach, fizzy drinks and superhero boxer shorts. Matt wishes to thank Kathy for being a great director, and thanks to Liz, for all the text messages during rehearsals. Did we mention Matt is single?

Ed has been known in the past to play around with a keyboard and bring some 'interesting' sounds to various pantos in Squamish. He has brought his squeaks and squawks to Aladdin most recently and if memory serves... well ...it doesn't serve... so suffice it to say about 4 other pantos. He also had a brief career on the stage acting a

bit part in Fawlty Towers and as a chorus member in Camelot. Ed has been fortunate to be associated with this daring troupe of performers and has had the honour of being in plays with 2 of his daughters and even been in a play that one of his daughters directed. He considers himself very lucky. He wishes to thank his parents, the academy...oh, what?...it's not time for the envelope yet?

Lived in Squamish for Almost 18 months. Work full time as a manager at White Spot and moonlight as a mountain FM DJ on Sunday nights. Little known facts- I’m a major hockey fan; doesn't matter who's playing I'm watching. Occasionally you will find me on stage at either the grizzly or cliff side pub for a little karaoke (Springsteen baby!). I love Neil Young, I have a tattoo dedicated to him on my body, ask me where I'll show you. I am painfully Canadian; I enjoy flannel shirts, the Tragically Hip and snow. Really little known fact- I’m a huge wrestling fan, yeah wrestling (sports entertainment, if you will). Obligatory tv/music favs- Entourage, the Office and the Discovery Channel (love me some shark week and deadliest catch). Music- Pearl Jam, Metallica, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Common, Tragically Hip, Bedouin Soundclash

Erin Beaubien - TED SNEAZLEY Erin is super ecstatic about being able to perform in this wonderful show with this wonderful cast! She is in tenth grade at Don Ross Secondary, and is looking forward to next year when she gets to work with Melissa Braun, her voice teacher of 4 years, on Howe Sounds Musical theater production. Some other shows Erin has been in include

'Little Ti Moune' in Once on This Island, 'Maysie' in Seussical and 'Little Red Riding Hood' In Into The Woods. Erin would like to thank her Broadway Or Bust director, Andrew Dixon, for all his many inspira-tional speeches on why we should all go to Queens. Big thanks to everyone, especially her brother/cow for helping her on everything! Hugs and kisses one and all!

Vanessa has lived in Squamish for 22 years and absolutely loves being involved with theatre. She started in HSSS as "the acting teacher" in a play called “The Competition Piece" and ever since then could not get enough of being on stage. This is not Vanessa's

first musical, she has also been in "42nd Street" as "Andy" and in "Annie Jr." as "Ms. Hannigan". Being a part of "Garry Plotter and the Pantomimers Stone" is an absolute thrill for Vanessa and will definitely not be the last time she is on stage. Vanessa hopes to make Theatre her career, you may be seeing her name in lights one day.

Life is a rush into the unknown… You can duck down and hope that nothing hits you, Or you can stand up tall as you can and show it your teeth, And say…“dish it up baby and don’t be stingy with the jalapeño’s”

Between Shifts Theatre group keeps throwing the jalapeños and Garry Plotter is a hot one.

Betty Adamson – Stage manager, and everything in between

Founding member of Between Shifts Theatre, Kathy is still slogging away after 15 freaking years (!) at finding a home for this illustrious group. After over 30 productions and dozens of fabulous awards, Kathy’s dream is for Between Shifts to have a space to hang its hat. If nothing else, to allow long-time members to reclaim their closet and

garage spaces. Kathy has a BFA in Theatre from UBC, and is a member of CAEA, ACTRA, and UBCP.

Kathy Daniels-Director

Paul Fletcher – Assistant Director

After keeping Dan Jarvis on task the past three years, Paul felt distinctly under util-ized working for the considerably more organized Kathy Daniels. He kept himself occu-pied by helping shepherd the massive cast through various logistical challenges, and enjoying the brilliant work of Jennifer, Melissa and Ali.
