BIBLIOGRAPHY ON RESPONSIBILITY KATE PECAROVICH* This bibliography is an update to the bibliography included in "Freedom and Responsibility: Readings in Philosophy and Law," edited by Herbert Morris and published by Stanford University Press in 1961. The basic subject is moral and legal responsibility, and the bibliography includes both books and periodical articles. Since Professor Morris' bibliography included citations through 1960, the coverage of this bibliography is from 1961 to 1985, and is extensive but not exhaustive. There is a vast amount of literature available on this subject, discussing responsibility in particular types of situations and under particular types of circumstances, collective responsibility, the responsibility of the state, the insanity defense, and other topics. In order to narrow the field, I restricted inclusion to works on the responsibility of the individual for his actions. I BOOKS Adkins, Arthur W. H. Merit and Responsibility. A Study in Greek Values.
