Company Profile Big Horn Electric and Controls Ltd (BHEC) has been in operation since 1973 and under current ownership and management since February of 1994. With their many years of experience and advanced knowledge in inspection, supervision and all aspects of electrical and control system installation and maintenance, BHEC has achieved substantial growth with a firm client base. Our head office and shop are located within a secure compound west of Sundre, Alberta which provides us with a central Alberta base for our operations. BHEC is recognized as an approved panel fabrication facility. Our shop is fully equipped for PLC/DCS cabinet assembly and our yard area has been specifically designed to facilitate the fabrication of skid buildings, including the complete wiring and installation of control equipment. The majority of our current client structure is an estimated 90% oilfield/industrial construction and maintenance with commercial projects consuming the remaining 10%. As a privately owned, non-union, Canadian electrical and instrumentation contractor offering maintenance, construction, inspection and plant turnaround services we also lend our expertise to design assistance, commissioning, calibration and start up. BHEC has numerous employees with 25 years plus experience filling the key rolls as project managers and supervisors to execute projects up to $3,000,000.00. Our head office in Sundre employs an Office Manager, Accountant, Accounts Payable/ Receivable and Pay Roll Administrator. Our tradesmen include master electricians, senior electricians, journeyman electricians, instrument mechanics and a variety of 1st to 4th year apprentices. Our journeymen have experience in sour gas facilities and control systems. Some personnel also have the ability to generate and provide electrical and instrumentation drawings for project information. Our personnel hold all required training certifications to meet industry and client standards. Safety and Experience are Key in our Success!

Project Experience

Conventional Oil and Sour/Sweet Gas Facilities Big Horn Electric and Controls Ltd. supports the majority of the Shell onshore projects and maintenance in South and Central Alberta as well as the Peace River area. With many hours of valuable experience in the foothills sour facilities, all BHEC personnel provide safe and efficient workmanship. Project Experience

Utility and Power Generation Systems Big Horn Electric & Controls Ltd. has been involved in the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of many complex power generation systems for load sharing and synchronizing for power export.

19 Megawatt steam driven generator 14 Megawatt Solar Turbine driven cogeneration systems. Installation and commissioning of stand by generator packages 5,000V to 25,000V switchgear installation

Fleet and Services Summary The Big Horn Electric and Controls Ltd. fleet of service vehicles are fully tooled, 1 ton 4x4 trucks tailored to suit our clients needs. Complete with custom built service boxes and much of the electrical and instrumentation supplies needed to execute any task. Many BHEC trucks are equipped with In Vehicle Monitoring Systems (IVMS) to assist in maintaining the safety of our fleet when travelling to and from work areas. Fleet vehicles also include personal gas monitors for employee protection.
