Circular sheet form work

BIRA is variable-radius circular metallic form work made possible by an easy-to-handle ratchet

system that generates the required curve.

BIRA has been calculated for a maximum concretingpressure of 80 kN/m2 with a ø 20 mm rod, eachpanel having 4 rods.

The longitudinal join of the panels is carried out bythe ORMA clamp, which is totally compatible withthis system.

The panels carry two levelling elements with theircorresponding screws for firm seating on theground.

There are two panels, outside and inside , whichhave a 50 mm. length difference, and heights of 3 - 2 - 1.5 - 0.5 and 0.25 metres.

The minimum radius that can be reached is 2.2 m.

There will be differences between the outside andinside panel depending on the radius and the thickness to be attained. These differences may becompensated by wooden or metal correctors.

Range of heights

The BIRA range of panels allows you to obtain heights from 1.5 m to 6 m at 25 cm intervals.

The 1.50 m panels are always placed at the bottom of the assemblies.

The 0.25 and 0.50 m panels are placed at the top.

LENGTHWAYS JOINING

BIRA panels can be joined lengthways using the ORMA Adjustable clamp on the side section of the panels that are to be joined.

Once clamp is placed per metre of height.

If you need to join panels with compensations between 10 and 25 cm, use the BIRA Filler clamp.

Besides wood compensations, there are also metal compensations that make for faster and more precise assembly.

JOINING BY HEIGHT

High panels are joined by bringing the panels together on the forming sheet, and are placed in position bythe centring wedges which are welded to them. Once in position, the upright joints are secured with the rodand its nut.

Once this operation has been completed, and the wallers have been placed on the trapezoidal side andcentral sections, they are secured by the waler hook.

There are complementary accessories that make it possible to offer total safety in high-up jobs that need tobe carried out on the form work, creating continuous platforms and a vertical access to each level created

using ladders.

Safety elements

A lternatively, the work brackets can alsobe used. Once placed on panels they can

be used as platforms for concreting the wall.The panels are secured by in-built pins. WORK BRACKET

S tabilisers are to settle the form work units andkeep them upright.

The securing points are located at the bottom of thewallers. The stabilisers are secured directly at thesepoints, with no need for an intermediate couplinghead.
