Blowing Agents & Foaming Processes 2014 will address

In the world of increasing oil and other resources price hikes, foaming can help to level the rising costs. This highly competitive market requires collaboration and innovation throughout the supply chain, to ensure we remain at the front line of technological development. Blowing Agents & Foaming Processes 2014 is your prime opportunity to engage with those involved in the manufacture application of blowing agents, foam extrusion, injection moulding, structural foam, equipment manufacture and applications including packaging, construction and automotive.

This 16th edition of the most successful and longest running conference dedicated to the polymer foam industry will bridge the gap between industry and research. We will address new applications and technologies, innovations for the future of the market and cutting edge research from expert research laboratories and companies from across the plastics value chain, equipping your company with the tools to stay at the forefront of the market.

Industry Site Tour Wittman-Battenfeldt GmbH, Kottingbrunn

This year’s diverse programme will incorporate an industry site visit to Wittman-Battenfeldt facility on 14 May to experience a demonstration of new processes and methods in injection moulding and the latest technology for physical gassing.

During the factory tour on 14 May, the CELLMOULD® technology will be demonstrated in production, production facilities will be shown, and there will be sufficient time available for technical discussions. Go to www.foamblowingagents.com for more details.

Complimentary transport will be provided from the Imperial Riding School Hotel but booking is essential. Buses will depart proceeding lunch at 14.00 and return via the Vienna International Airport at approximately 18.00.

There is massive market potential for weight and cost savings through innovative high performing materials, taking advantage of the collateral properties of polymer foams such as low density, high temperature behaviour, cryogenic temperature application, solvent resistance, ageing resistance etc.

These desirable properties have led the increased use in industries such as aerospace, automotive, transportation, packaging and construction. This highly competitive market requires collaboration and innovation throughout the supply chain, to ensure we remain at the front line of technological development.

This year the conference will host the Blowing Agents & Foaming Processes Innovation Award, which showcases the brightest new innovations within the polymeric foam industry, from “green”, structural and cellular foams through to parts developed through innovative use of foaming processes and blowing agents. Entrants will be judged by our expert panel and the winner will receive the Blowing Agents & Foaming Processes Innovation Award to be distributed at the Grand Drinks Reception on 13 May 2014.

Entries should be submitted by 21 April to Rachel Montgomery at [email protected]. For more information please see our website.
