New Play space in North Wright opening in the next few weeks!

If you live in Wright or Coombs, enjoy reading and would like to connect with others then this activity is for you. Bring along some snacks to share and head on down to the cottage! The Book Club has been established by a local resident. The group comes together on the third Tuesday of every month and it’s lots of fun! Email Jane at molonglobookgroup@gmail.com to RSVP or for more information.

As we approach the tail end of summer, it is important to remember to look after your garden

and the trees on your verge – they get thirsty too! .

Mingle has partnered with Charles Weston School to produce a Cultural Cookbook that will feature recipes and facts from around the world. This initiative came about from students and residents wanting to gain a deeper understanding of the many cultural backgrounds embedded right here within the Molonglo Valley. The production of this book will aim to connect, understand and celebrate the diversity of people living in Molonglo Valley Community. Would you like to be a part of this project? Charles Weston School, students and parents have designed gorgeous mosaics telling the story of Stromlo Cottage. These mosaics will be installed in the next few weeks. You are invited to come to the unveiling of these masterpieces – stay tuned!We will be starting up some community mosaic workshops at Stromlo Cottage so that those who would like to, can learn this art form and also create some art to be installed in your community.

Wednesday mornings at the cottage are dedicated to retirees in the area who want to connect with others in their community. Join this great group of residents for a cuppa, some conversation and some laughs. Don’t be shy, and please feel free to let your neighbours know.
