6. Call to Donate allows donors to submit a donation via touchtone phone. Users simply dial a designated phone number and type in their credit card information and amount they wish to donate.

7. Screencasting engages audiences and incites them to action during live events. Your donor’s name and pledged amount appears onscreen with a real-time donation thermometer tracking your fundraising progress.

What is Mobile Fundraising?Mobile fundraising is the simple process of accepting donations via text message or making a phone call. All your donors need is a cell phone.

The Haiti earthquake crisis catapulted mobile giving into public awareness, and thousands of organizations and non-profits are harnessing the technology as a viable fundraising tool.

These days, all of your supporters and potential donors own a mobile device. Everyone knows how to send a text message; and because text messages are instant and easy, you can make a request for donations anytime, anywhere, and receive an immediate response.

What is it?Mobile Give allows donors to give instantly to your organization by sending a text message from their cell phones. Give by Cell is the largest approved service provider by the Mobile Giving Foundation (MGF), which acts as the organizing liaison for mobile giving in the United States.

What are the benefits?Mobile Give is a quick and easy way to reach a large new donor base. Supporters text your organization’s unique keyword to a designated short code to make a $5 or $10 donation. They receive a text message to reply “Yes” to confirm their donation, which is applied to their next cell phone bill. The Mobile Giving Foundation will send your organization checks monthly.

You can monitor the success of your campaign on our administrative website, where immediate results are posted. Check the results, learn what is working, and identify your donors by phone number.

What is it?Mobile Donate allows supporters to donate any dollar amount by simply texting in an organization’s keyword or scanning a QR Code. The donor receives a link to a mobile donation web based page where they are able to complete the transaction with their credit card. What are the benefits?Mobile Donate is perfect for organizations that do not meet Mobile Give’s eligibility requirements. Mobile Donate is also designed to address the needs of institutions that want a mobile fundraising solution that allows larger donations and gathers more donor information.

Give by Cell provides an extensive reporting system for organizations to track funds and manage donor relations throughout their fundraising campaign.

What is it?With Mobile Pledge, donors text in the amount they are pledging to donate. Our text message system captures the amount pledged, time and date, and the donor’s cell phone number. Your organization calls the donors to collect the funds.

What are the benefits?Perfect for fundraisers and other live events, Mobile Pledge allows supporters to submit a pledge of any dollar amount to your organization by texting a unique keyword and their pledge amount to a specific short code. Everyone at your venue, gala, auction, or event becomes a potential donor.

Give by Cell provides in-depth reporting statistics to track all pledges as well as donor contact information. That way, you’ll know when and from where your donor sent a pledge.

What is it?Give by Cell’s Call to Donate service allows users to make a donation of any size simply by dialing a number and entering their credit card information via touchtone. Not everyone is familiar with text messaging or owns a Smartphone. With Call to Donate, anyone can dial in and make a contribution.

Eligibility Requirements?• None

What are the benefits?To make a donation, supporters dial a designated phone number and are instructed to enter their credit card information and donation amount on their keypad. The funds are deposited directly into your credit card merchant account and our administrative website allows you to run reports to manage your donor relations.

This is perfect for an audience who may not be comfortable with texting and works on all phones, including non-Smartphones, anywhere in the world.

SCREENCASTING

What is it?Screencasting is a great way to generate excitement and increase fundraising results at a live event. Each text (which contains the donor’s name, donation amount, and even an encouraging message) can appear on a giant screen at your event. The interactive thermometer will rise as the donations come in while the digital clock ticks down to encourage donors to text in their donation to ultimately reach the goal amount.

What are the benefits?By incorporating Screencasting into your live events, you harness the immediacy of text messaging and incite your guests to action. Your donors initiate a donation or pledge by texting a keyword to a short code. The screen will display donors’ pledges in real-time so you and your donors can see how close you are to your fundraising goal.

Mobile WebsiteOur Mobile Website platform allows you to share multimedia content, including video, audio, text, and images through a mobile phone. Our Mobile Website platform allows you to create a website that is accessible on any Smartphone platform, whether iPhone, Android, Blackberry or a tablet, with no downloads necessary.

Share schedules, videos, maps and directions, or collect visitor feedback with a platform that’s affordable, easy to use, and does not require an I.T. Department.

Text MessagingSend a text message to your audience with links, images, and any other information. You can even promote your mobile giving campaign with a call-to-action to opt-in subscribers.

Audio HotlineEducate the public about your organization’s cause through an audio information hotline, and invite callers to press a key to begin the text donation process.

What is it?Secondary keywords allow you to easily allocate donations to separate divisions, departments, causes or campaigns, or individuals raising money for your charity without the cost of activating multiple accounts.

How does it work?Donors text your unique primary keyword, paired with a secondary keyword, to a designated short code, so you can track which account the funds belong.

How would you use it?Activate secondary keywords and allow your donors to choose the cause they’d like to support, i.e. “Text [KEYWORD] followed by [DEPT. NAME] to 20222 to make a $10 donation to the cause of your choice.

If your organization has chapters throughout the country, secondary keywords allow you to raise money for any location with the use of a single mobile giving account.

Fundraising competitionsStart a competition among your staff members and volunteers to raise money on your organization’s behalf. Simply add their names as secondary keywords to keep an easy tally of who has raised which funds.

Staff and volunteers could promote their campaign to friends and family with a call-to-action: “I’m raising money for [ORGANIZATION NAME]! Text [KEYWORD] followed by [MY NAME] to 20222 to donate $10 and support my campaign.”
