Georgian College Bookstore Booklist Submission – A Walkthrough

What is it? The Bookstore’s textbook adoption system which allows faculty to enter their course materials online via the web. Why a new system? Where is the new system?

The Bookstore’s textbook adoption system is now incorporated into the Georgian Banner Self Serve portal. at https://sis-ssb.georgianc.on.ca/GEOR/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin. Who has access? All full-time and part-time faculty and the designated Bookstore Contact Person. How to I know when to enter my course material requirements? The booklist contact person (BCP) will contact you by email when the booklist adoption system is unlocked and available for you to enter your course material requirements. The system will be available for a certain time period and then will be locked by the bookstore. Once the system is locked you will no longer be able to enter or edit your requests.

The BCP has requested my course material requirements. What do I do now?

How does it work? You select your term (credit or non-credit), campus and department. These fields are mandatory. There

are drop downs listing the valid options. Where you see a little black arrow and click on it, a new

window opens with a list of values.

You now have a choice to enter a CRN or Course Code. Depending on what you do, determines what

you see:

1) You enter a CRN

You will only see that one specific CRN. (Make sure you have the correct term code, i.e.

201110 for credit or 201115 for non-credit

2) You enter the whole Course code, i.e. ACCT1000

You will only see that one specific course code

How do I enter my course requirements?

You have a choice of selecting from history and/or enter a new title or general merchandise item. Be sure to select whether they are “Required” or “Optional”.

In the screenshot below, you have the option to select from history. “Click” the select box and this title will attach to your course or CRN. Be sure to select “Required” or “Optional”. Note: If there is more than one title shown they are listed in chronological order with the most currently selected being at the top. General Merchandise Items If using the same kit/item, with no changes – the SKU number remains the same. If there were any changes (i.e. Item omitted or added to a kit) you must contact the bookstore for a new SKU before entering.

Enter a new Title or General Merchandise item In the screenshot below, a new textbook has been entered. On the first blank line enter a 10-digit or 13-digit ISBN, the title of the book, the last name of one Author and the Publisher all in UPPER case. Select whether the book is “Required” or “Optional”. Then click on SAVE. To enter a new general merchandise item On the first blank line enter the SKU number for the general merchandise item in the ISBN field, followed by the description in the Title field, all in UPPER case. Please select whether the item is “Required” or “Optional”. Then click on SAVE. Note: When entering general merchandise items please ensure you are using the correct SKU. If the item or kit has changed in any way a new SKU must be provided.

Click on “Save” at the bottom of the screen and the textbook has been entered in the system for your Textbook Requisitions.

If you need to add another course/book, select the link and start the process all over again.

You may view your Textbook Requisitions at anytime by going through the link “View your book requests”.

Select your term and press submit.

Note: While submitting your booklist before the deadline, you may add or remove the course materials. However, once the bookstore has closed submissions (after the deadline), you cannot do any adding or deleting. Any changes have to be emailed to the Bookstore Buyer.
