MAGICHANDS
When You Use Your Opposite Hand, Your Brain
is ‘Growing’
• Magic Hands is a program designed to activate both hemispheres of a child’s brain by using left hand training
The Program
• The brain is divided into two halves known as hemispheres. The hemispheres work together and separately to enable the human body to perform daily tasks.
• The right side of the brain controls the muscle function on the left side of the body and vice versa.
• Approximately 90 percent of the population is right-hand dominant.
• The remaining 10 percent is left handed, with a small portion being ambidextrous, equally able to use both hands.
• Performing tasks with a non-dominant hand promotes brain health by enabling the brain to generate neurons and form new neural pathways.
The Brain
• Understanding a child’s dominant brain hemisphere will help parents, caretakers & teachers communicate with the child.
• Using the opposite hand will strengthen neural connections in the brain and enhance the growth of new ones.
• There are studies that show that when we use our dominant hand, one hemisphere of the brain is active.
• When you use the non-dominant hand, both hemispheres are activated, which may result in thinking differently and becoming more creative.
Benefits of The Program on The Brain
• Greater concentration• Improved reading, writing and
learning skills • Keen listening skills • Better Memory• Better reflexes• Sharper observation • Self-confidence• Better application skills • Improved endurance• Improve analytical skills• Better expression• Better creative and imaginative skills • Better comprehension and
calculation skills
Benefits of The Program on The Children
Communicating With The L-Mode• Type of Cognitive Processing for Left
Hemisphere Dominance
• Linear• Processing information from part to whole;
in a straight forward logical progression.• Sequential• Processing information in order from first to
last.• Symbolic• Processes symbols an pictures; likes to use
letters, words and mathematical symbols.• Logical• Processes information piece by piece using
logic to solve a problem.• Verbal• Processes thoughts and ideas with words.• Reality-Based• Processes information based on reality;
focuses on rules and regulations
Communicating With The R-Mode• Type of Cognitive Processing for Right Hemisphere
Dominance
• Holistic• Processing information from whole to part;
sees the big picture first, not the details.• Random • Processing information with out priority,
jumps form one task to another.• Concrete• Processes things that can be seen , or
touched - real objects.• Intuitive• Processes information based on whether or
not it feels right know answer but not sure how it was derived.
• Nonverbal• Processes thought as illustrations.• Fantasy-Oriented• Processes information with creativity; less
focus on rules and regulations
• This program is suited for all children with different IQ levels.
• A less than average and an average performer can benefit from this program through the unique teaching methodology involving visual & auditory senses.
• This type of teaching helps improve the child's concentration gradually and helps him better his performance and help overcome his fear on any subject.
• For an above average performer, the right side brain development will have a remarkable impact on his achievements at school.
Who can benefit from the program?
• 1- Magic hands • Improving the synchronization between thinking and the opposite hand movement by new
calculation method
• 2- I-Write • Training on writing & drawing with the non dominant hand
• 3- Games • Using the non dominant hand and leg in fun games & sports
The CurriculumThe program is divided into three different activities
• It is a program which enables the student to calculate (add and subtract) on his both hands questions that the answer is up to 99 in seconds.
• Example: 20+10-30+5+2+10-15= the student will give the answer once we finish the question.
Magic Hands
• Exercise based on letting children writes numbers, letters and then sentences with their left hand.
I-Write
.
• Sports using the left hand.
• Painting with the left hand
• Paints will be shown in exhibition
• Football left leg training • Musical Instrument
training using the left hand
Games and Fun
• The minimum age is 5 and the maximum age is 12 for learning this program
• Brain development is significant from birth until 12 years
What is the right age to start this program?
• The learning happens in a fun filled environment and the child never feels the burden of learning a new concept every week.
• On a lighter note, every weekly session is a brain gymnasium class for the young and growing minds
• 72 training hours • Each session is 2 hours
Program Duration
• for Research & Development designed a system that can calculate and measure performance improvement of the non dominant side of the brain.
• This monthly report is a very helpful tool given to the parents allowing them to follow up on there child.
