Increase the awareness of general health and well-being.

Ensure employees are educated with health related topics to promote a healthy lifestyle and reduce health related illnesses.

Distribute Health Advisories bi-monthly and provide training during pre-embarkation meetings. Measure % illness in 2011 vs. % of illness in 2012.

Improve organizational culture. The acceptance of HSE as a core organizational value in the minds of managers and staff is required to support a robust Management System if lasting HSE performance outcomes are to be achieved.

Ensure management level employees are engaged in HSE activity throughout their daily activities.

Measure % attendance to Managers’ Safety Meetings & track ongoing attendance.Measure % of attendance to pre-embark meetings & track ongoing attendance.Measure % of HSE inspections (walk-on audits) & track ongoing inspections.

Reduce the amount of non-conformities received through internal and external audits.

Ensure non-conformities and recommendations for improvements are shared throughout the organization to prevent recurrence and improve performance.

Trend non-conformities and create a quarterly report to submit to applicable parties. Measure % non-conformities from 2011 vs. % in 2012.

Continue efforts to reduce injuries in the workplace.

Target training towards high-risk areas to reduce overall occurrences of incidents in the workplace.

Measure TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate) & LTIR (Lost Time Incident Rate) compared to previous years.

Continue efforts to strengthen the culture of proactive tool utilization, improving hazard recognition and reducing unplanned events.

Increase training and the utilization of proactive safety tools that assess risk and behaviors before incidents occur.

Measure proactive efforts rate monthly. Track rate as compared to 2011 & track increase or decrease in utilization on a monthly basis.Continue efforts to strengthen the culture of

Continue to improve the identification and management of the most significant safety risks and environmental impacts.

Conduct risk analyses on operations with significant impact in an effort to find additional mitigation actions to reduce the hazards and risks associated with tasks to a lower level.

Conduct risk analysis sessions with management and involved parties.

Continue efforts to improve waste management.

Reduce the quantity of domestic and hazardous waste generated on board the vessels working for Petrobras.

Distribute Environmental Advisories bi-monthly and provide training during pre-embarkation meetings to improve waste management.

Reduce the negative impact on the environment by reducing the occurrences of spills.

Determine the impact the Company has on the environment and continuously reduce the impact by measuring performance, educating employees and putting systems in place to prevent harm.

Calculate an ESR (Environmental Spill Rate) and monitor quarterly for increases or decreases. ESR = quantity in cubic meters (m3) of spillage reaching the natural environment from Company operations / # of fluid transfers. Monitor & track this rate to show process of improvement or decline.
