ChallengeSupport Radio Guerrilla’s audience transition from radio broadcast to exclusive online presence and promote the brand’s values and alterna-tive style in the midst of Christmas stereotypes, using the brand’s last remaining communication channel – Facebook.

SolutionWe created a Christmas Facebook campaign that turns people into music stations, spreading media content from Radio Guerrilla with the help of LerBlock, a browser extension.

ChallengeAfter a serious decline in sales of Heidi’s Gourmet line of chocolate tablets, the company improved the recipe and upgraded the design and needed to communicate the change. The goal was to position Heidi Gourmet as one of the most exquisite ranges, using only the brand’s Facebook page.

SolutionWe positioned Heidi Gourmet as a statement about style, an exquisite and personal one that recognizes the uniqueness of Heidi’s fans and celebrates their diversity. To express the message, we created visuals inspired by jewelry presentations and complemented them with bold, shareable taglines.

ChallengeBrico Depot had just entered the Romanian market and needed to communicate its presence, build a subscriber base and generate sales. However, the brand came with a new business model, different from what local DIY customers were used to.

SolutionStarting from zero, we followed a different approach and positioned Brico Depot as the “No Frills” DIY store and implemented a 6 month rebranding campaign to establish a visible and different position on the market. We structured regular sales campaigns to generate traffic and set in place a customer attraction system.

ChallengeEngage Lidl Romania’s community online to drive food products sales offline.

SolutionWe made Lidl products more attractive and versatile by presenting them in appetizing recipes, created with chefs and consumers. We designed a recipe platform and mobile application to bring the products online with mouth-watering visuals, empowered consumers with digital cooking tools and brought visitors offline, in shops, with clever transition utilities.

QUIXEL

Results• The Quixel platform was developed in record time and budget, while contributing to several innovations and patents.

ChallengeQuixel is a UK startup revolutionizing the Broadcasting industry. Quixel encodes and distributes hundreds of terabytes of high value broadcast quality video content for blue chip companies and broadcasters, such as the London Olympics 2013, ESPN, Apple and BBC.

They were looking for a development partner that can match their ambitions for innovation.

SolutionWe redesigned the encoder/uploader from scratch, adding powerful functionality such as chapter selection, HD streaming formats and up to 16 broadcast ready encode formats.

We crafted a powerful HTML5 player featuring audio meters, graphic safe boundaries, image capture, frame by frame control, preview video, sharing and tooltips.

LAUREUS

Results• Over 3TB of content has been uploaded onto the Laureus Digital Platform.

ChallengeEvery year the Laureus Sport’s Awards are hosted by stars such as Kevin Spacey, Morgan Freeman, Tony Hawks and Bobby Charlton. The star filled video content is always in demand from Media Partners all over the world. Laureus Sports Foundation was looking for a new way to distribute their video content to their clients.

SolutionIn partnership with Three-fee High, Brand Up developed Laureus Digital, a customized Video File Transfer system.

FeaturesOnce registered onto the Laureus Digital platform, each user is given a unique pass-code allowing them to browse a select number of clips before deciding whether to download the video files. The site features the latest content with a skyscraper banner and related videos at the bottom of the Video Viewer Page.

BBC FORMULA 1

Results• During the Australian Grand Prix, over 1.5TB of video content was delivered through BBC Trace and the system still continues to be used for BBC coverage of Formula 1.

ChallengeThe BBC transfers terabytes of video content for their Formula 1 coverage every year. They were looking for a new way to deliver content and a way to approve it fast.

SolutionA two part video file transfer platform comprised of a desktop application for uploading, managing and editing video files. The videos are then uploaded onto the dedicated website, where BBC media rights holder from everywhere in the world can stream and download the clips on from the Video Gallery Page.

LONDON OLYMPICS 2012

ResultsOur work helped deliver content viewed by millions during the London 2012 Olympics, contributed to several innovations and empowered the lives of broadcasters around the world.

ChallengeFew companies can say that they contributed to such a global and important event such as the Olympics. The IOC video platform we built with Quixel did just that, by distributing a 7 part documentary series to the world’s top broadcasters including: ESPN, NBC and CCTV China.

SolutionA world first in the broadcasting industry, the IOC platform transferred over 1TB of broadcast quality content to 31 leading broadcasters before, during and after the London Olympics 2012.

LABSAside from innovating on behalf of our clients, we like to work on the problems of our own industry too.

We’re on a quest to create a seamless framework that unifies the backend, the server and the front end in one language. We want to offer developers a development platform that enables them to create powerful, scalable and responsive applications.

We’ve created an innovative Java Script platform we call Fireworks. It pushes HTML5 and JS to the limit providing real time response rates, advanced user interfaces and reducing delivery times by up to half.

The Fireworks technology is responsible for firing up one of the most innovative video distribution platform. Quixel’s core is the fastest out there, combining beauty and powerful functionalities, it is a one of a kind piece of software.
