London Bridge Hospital’s One Stop Breast Clinic drawson the expertise of the country’s leading breast units atboth Guy’s and St Thomas’ and King’s College, London.The team is comprised of a group of dynamic surgeons,oncologists, cytologists and radiologists who areresponsible for many of the latest advances in breastdisease and cancer research today. Consultants at ourclinic specialise solely in the field of Breast problemsand all aspects of the most up-to-date treatments. Oursmall team of professionals allows us to provide you witha personal and specialised service.

EASE OF ACCESSThe One Stop Breast Clinic has been set up at LondonBridge Hospital and 31 Old Broad Street to provide rapidaccess, advice, diagnosis and treatment for anyone whomay have a breast problem. Our aim is to offer thisservice in the most convenient and professional way. Weoffer appointments 4 days a week with the uniqueadvantage of providing all breast care services under oneroof.

YOUR CONSULTATIONYour consultant will assess your current symptoms and, ifrequired, can identify the problem through a series ofdiagnostic procedures. These diagnostic tests can beperformed without delay at the clinic, with no need to

wait for a second appointment with all the anxiety andinconvenience that this may cause.

The range of diagnostic tests and other services availableat the clinic include:

★ Mammography★ Ultrasound scanning★ Fine needle aspiration - cytology★ Core biopsies

If you need any of these tests you will be accompaniedby one of our team and the results of the investigationswill be assessed on site by a consultant radiologist or aconsultant cytologist, depending on the investigation youreceived.

Your visit will conclude with another meeting with yourconsultant who will discuss your results with you andany further steps that may be needed.

A specialist breast care nurse is available during theclinics to help explain the procedures or to provide anyadditional information you would find useful.

Your visit will take approximately 2 hours. Beforeattending your clinic appointment you may eat and drinknormally.
