Who is a Friend???A push when u are stopped,

A touch when u are lost,A word when u are Quite,A smile when u are sad,

A shoulder when u are crying.


Be a friend. You don't need money:

Just a disposition sunny; Just the wish to help another Get along some way or other; Just a kindly hand extended

Out to one who's unbefriended; Just the will to give or lend,

This will make you someone's friend.

Be a friend. You don't need glory.

Friendship is a simple story. Pass by trifling errors blindly, Gaze on honest effort kindly,

Cheer the youth who's bravely trying, Pity him who's sadly sighing;

Just a little labor spend On the duties of a friend.

Be a friend. The pay is bigger (Though not written by a figure) Than is earned by people clever In what's merely self-endeavor.

You'll have friends instead of neighbors For the profits of your labors;

You'll be richer in the end Than a prince, if you're a friend

My dear new friend, I am writing these words to you because today I thought about making a new stranger friend in Rotaract, whom I do not know at all. I thought about how friends give each other encouragement, how friends can sense what the other one is longing for, And how friends listen to each other’s inner thoughts with love and concern.And without giving any judgement how friends try to comfort each other’s hurts.But best of all, how beautifully true friends can find companionship even in silence. Life is like a garden full of beautiful flowers. There are various different types of flowers in the garden of life and each variety has it’s own distinct characteristics. Friendship to me is the beautiful scent in each of these flowers, which adds a meaningful value to one’s existence in this world. The beauty of a flower is enhanced by it’s colours and fragrance. Similarly, life is made more beautiful if one is blessed with a good set of friends who are there to stand by your side in difficult times and encourage you when you find moving ahead difficult.Friendship makes our life beautiful. It makes us live life more. The existence of friends in one’s life can be the source of much joy while the absence of friends can make one lonely and unhappy. Friends are needles of clock – though we are in the same clock we are not able to meet, even if we meet its hardly of seconds, but what is more important is that we always stay connected. I hope this initiative of ours always keeps us connected.
