Our development team create and release a ‘new’ version of the Rightmove website every two weeks throughout the year. Each time we do so, we focus on improvements to make things better for both you and the users of our website.

Sometimes we add exciting new features, like larger property images or Draw-a-Search, but we also take care of the finer details too. For example, we’ve put in place a team and systems to monitor the quality and accuracy of both lettings and sales listings on site. This ensures home-movers see only the most accurate and relevant search results and provides a level playing field for our customers.

Moving with home-movers

Last year we covered everything from improving the time taken to upload property images to adding a search function for commercial properties.

Mobile technologies move fast. In the last year we’ve launched improved versions of our market-leading iPhone and iPad apps and added a brand new app for users of Android handsets.

Already nearly a quarter of all searches on Rightmove are made using a mobile device as increasing numbers of home-movers take advantage of the opportunity to search and research on the move, as well as at home. In fact, around half of home-movers say that they now use a mobile device in addition to a PC to search for property.* Investment in new technologies ensures that you and your properties are always available to home-movers, wherever they are.

In total, our mobile apps - iPhone, iPad and Android - have been downloaded nearly 3 million times. The iPhone app alone has been installed nearly 2 million times.

Our ‘Market Intelligence’ campaign reinforces the importance of the 3 Ps – Price, Presentation and Promotion – to sellers and landlords and, most importantly, the importance of consulting a local expert – you!
