Dear Friends and Supporters,

It is my great pleasure to send this message of greeting upon the occasion of this festive AMIT Purim Concert in Jerusalem, featuring eight stars from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. My warmest congratulations to all those who have put together such a beautiful event to benefit our high school students in Beersheva.

Each time I visit Israel I am impressed, if not astounded, by the breath and scope of the AMIT Network. AMIT today can be found in 24 Israeli cities, development towns and other communities from one end of Israel to the next. We are a presence in almost every major city, as well as communities throughout the Negev and the North. We enroll more than 20,000 students from kindergarten through junior college in 85 schools and programs. Even as we celebrate our 85th Anniversary, we still are growing year after year.

AMIT could not flourish without all of you and your generous support. Our children count on you to provide them with the resources and the tools they need to succeed academically, as well as to develop the strength and character to build productive and satisfying lives. Every year, alumni return to visit our schools and our youth villages and they tell us, “You saved my life; you saved my soul.”

I cannot stress enough the importance of the growing number of AMIT friends and supporters throughout Israel who keep our message and our vision alive and who work so hard to raise the resources to make a better future for our children. This has been the AMIT mission since 1925 and I know, that with your support, we will continue this legacy for many more years to come.

Dear Friends,

It is my honor and my pleasure to greet you at this festive evening, the Grand Purim Gala. I am always encouraged and strengthened by the devotion of AMIT supporters. Your hard work and devotion make it possible for us to

further our vision of enabling Israel's children and youth from diverse backgrounds to realize their potential, thereby strengthe-ning Israeli society. We strive to provide academic excellence and instill Zionist values and ideals.

Excellence is the key to our success as a Network, and the Ba-grut, Israel's matriculation exam, is the key to academic, social, and future professional success of our students. Successful com-pletion of the Bagrut offers students the opportunity to continue their studies in university and pursue the career of their dreams. In order to raise Bagrut success rates, AMIT developed an in-novative program called Tochnit 80, which aims to enable at least 80 percent of AMIT students to earn the essential Bagrut diploma. Tochnit 80, which features mentoring for principals and teachers, individualized attention to each student and inten-sive study marathons, has been an outstanding success.

Among the schools that have benefited from Tochnit 80 are AMIT's schools in Be'er Sheva. Be'er Sheva is a true microcosm of the entire AMIT Network. AMIT offers a full array of educa-tional opportunities and programs in Be'er Sheva, which include elementary schools, a high school, a yeshiva, an ulpane and a technological school. AMIT's students in Be'er Sheva reflect the diverse nature of Israeli society. Students include native Israelis, immigrants from the former Soviet Union, and immigrants from Ethiopia. All of AMIT's schools in Be'er Sheva offer rigorous curricula as well as immersion in Jewish values.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere ap-preciation to all of you for your hard work and dedication on behalf of AMIT. Your involvement is crucial to the continuing partnership between AMIT Israel and the AMIT Network, and ultimately to the future of Israeli society. The Conservatory is at the heart of a trio of institu-tions that forms the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (JAMD): together with the Academy and its High School, it offers a complete educational pro-gram all the way through the graduate level. The lea-ding and largest establishment of its kind in Israel, and among a few worldwide, the Conservatory provides professional training of the highest standards in music and dance for youths aged 4-19. In addition to a full range of solo instrumental instruction and voice, it offers instruction in chamber music and jazz, orches-tral playing, choral singing, composition in all mu-sical genres, conducting, and music theory. Weekly concerts provide students with a regular venue for pu-blic performance, and special gala concerts showcase the Conservatory’s outstanding achievements. Many conservatory students are winners of prestigious na-tional and international competitions and awards, with nascent careers in Israel and abroad (including appearances on Israeli radio and TV). Many of the Conservatory’s former students have achieved world-wide recognition.

La troupe du Village d'enfants AMIT Petah Tikva est composée d'enfants issus de milieux très défavorisés qui vivent toute l'année dans le Village d'enfants d'AMIT. Ces enfants sont soit orphelins, soit leurs parents ont été jugés inaptes à assurer leur rôle. Le chant et la musique leur redonnent espoir et les préservent des méfaits de la rue et de la spirale de la délinquance


WHAT WILL THIS CHILD BE LIKE WHEN HE OR SHE GROWS UP?

What will this child be like when he or she grows up? So many parents and grandparents wonder. For one of the great tasks of childhood and adolescence is

the development of a unique, positive personal identity.

Purim, more than any other Jewish holiday, focuses on identity. In Shushan, we were threatened as members of the Jewish people. And many of the practices of Purim relate to the questioning of identity from the custom of dressing up to the mitzvah to become sufficiently inebriated to be unaware of distinctions.

Esther hid her identity from everyone including the king. Mo-reover, Esther’s sense of personal identity is a great mystery. How did she perceive of herself when ensconced in the king’s palace? What did her attachment to Moredechai mean to her?

Did she feel like a great queen? Or like a prisoner? Like the heir of Sarah who was saved when she was captured by a king? Or like an orphan shipped from one environment to ano-ther unable to shake that sense of abandonment and existential loneliness engendered by the wrenching events of her youth?

For many of AMIT’s children in Israel today the development of a positive personal identity is an overwhelming challenge. It often involves putting the puzzle of self together without the benefit of comfortable role models and despite traumatic childhood experiences. Children may have endured difficult immigration from a profoundly different culture, the necessity to personally bridge the gulf between parental figures and the surrounding culture, or homes without sufficiently stable or nurturing parental figures. For other, more fortunate, AMIT youngsters the search for identity experienced by so many young people in contemporary society is nevertheless a bur-ning issue.

AMIT combines the belief in Torah values and Avodat Hashem with a caring personalized approach to give children the op-portunity to develop a sense of personal identity and worth, a meaningful sense of belonging to the Jewish people, a pride in their background and a feeling of possibility and purpose regarding their future. For some children this is a second (or third or fourth) chance. And many go beyond our hopes and dreams.

We can only sit and wonder about what Esther felt alone in the palace. We can do something to help our children today.

Ce qui frappe dans la publication des chiffres sur la pau-vreté en Israël, sont les données suivantes :

- 6300 familles, dont les deux parents travaillent, font partie de cette frange de la population.

- De plus en plus de jeunes couples, qui appartenaient à la classe moyenne, ne peuvent plus boucler leurs budgets. Les deux salaires ne suffisent plus !

- La communauté éthiopienne, bien qu'intégrée au marché du travail ou voulant s’intégrer, est des plus tou-chée et compte parmi elle une forte proportion de familles défavorisées, environ 40%.

AMIT éduque et prend soin de la jeunesse en Israël, en s’occu-pant des jeunes les plus vulnérables. Quelque 70 % des élèves AMIT ont des problèmes éducatifs, psychologiques et écono-miques et sont un facteur à risque sur une base journalière.

AMIT s’occupe de chaque enfant de façon individuelle, de fa-çon à augmenter son potentiel et permettre à chaque étudiant de devenir un membre productif de la Société Israélienne, à assurer à ces enfants l’excellence académique et leur inculquer des valeurs morales et d’idéal sioniste, un concept qu’AMIT appelle Beit Hinuch.

Cette année, AMIT a décidé de développer le programme TOCHNIT 80 pendant les 3 prochaines années ; ce programme a été développé par AMIT de façon à assurer une meilleure réussite du Baccalauréat de ses étudiants.

Nous prévoyons d’accompagner 30 à 35 étudiants pendant 3 ans (de la seconde à la terminale) dans les établissements du secondaire de Beer Sheva où les jeunes viennent de milieux très défavorisés.

Pour ce Programme, nous espérons récolter en 2011 au mini-mum 40.000 à 50.000 Euros par classe et par année.

Les ressources humaines sont les seules ressources de l’Etat d’Israël.

Aidons ces enfants à réussir leur Baccalau-réat et arrêtons le cycle vicieux de la pau-vreté.

Ce n’est que par l’effort constant de nos amis fidèles à notre cause qu’AMIT peut réussir ce travail délicat pour sauver ces ressources les plus vulnérables mais aussi les plus précieuses d’Israël, ses enfants.

Merci de votre soutien ce soir aux besoins des enfants d’AMIT.

La recette de ce soir aidera AMIT à donner à ces enfants un support dans ce Programme qu’AMIT a mis en place pour leur faire réussir le Baccalauréat.

RÉUSSITES D'AMIT

Le lycée scientifique et technologique AMIT GWEN STRAUS se classe au premier rang na-tional en matière d'enseignement informatique au baccalauréat

Le lycée scientifique et technologique AMIT Gwen Straus situé à Kfar Batya se positionne en tête du classement natio-nal des dernières épreuves d’informatique au baccalauréat. La moyenne générale obtenue au cours du dernier examen s’élève à 92.67 %.

Le proviseur du Lycée AMIT Gwen Straus, le rabbin Itamar Haikin a mentionné qu’une partie des élèves de Terminale ont participé a un programme d’excellence de l’institut Wei-zman dans lequel ils réalisent un projet informatique de cinq points en plus de leur examen, également évalué sur cinq points.

Le lycée d’AMIT de Sdérot a remporté un prix décerné par le ministère de l’environnement

Le ministre de l’éducation ainsi que le ministre de l’en-vironnement ont remis au lycée AMIT de Sdérot un prix d’excellence pour son enseignement en matière d’environ-nement. AMIT de Sdérot a été félicité pour son initiative et sa créativité dans son enseignement touchant à l’environne-ment, le premier dans ce secteur en Israël, qui est dispensé avec succès depuis 13 ans. De plus, l’établissement a été sollicité pour plusieurs projets en matière d’environnement à Sdérot.

Ceci est le deuxieme prix remis à AMIT Sdérot récemment. L’école a également reçu le prix d’éducation pour l’année scolaire 2009-2010.

AMIT Beer-Shev’a

Un lycéen remporte la médaille d’or à une compétition in-ternationale de sciences physiques

Eli Godinivsky, élève au lycée AMIT de Beer-Shev’a, a remporté la médaille d’or au concours Premier Pas vers le Prix Nobel, une compétition internationale de projets de recherche en sciences physiques à laquelle ont pris part des étudiants de soixante-quinze pays. Avec lui, quatre élèves d’autres pays ont remporté des médailles d’or, et l’une de ses camarades de lycée, Evelyn Janis, a elle reçut la médaille d’argent. Le prix gagné par Eli est une bourse d’études d’un mois à l’Institut International de Physiques de Pologne où, durant son séjour, il prendra part à de véritables recherches y ayant cours. "Je suis fier de faire partie d’un groupe rendant Israël fier dans des concours internationaux", a raconté Eli, et a ajouté : "Mon professeur de sciences physiques à l’école et au Centre Ilan Ramon pour Jeunes Physiciens de l’université Ben-Gourion m’ont aidé et m’ont donné les moyens de réaliser mon potentiel". Victor Malamud, le professeur de physique du lycée et directeur du Centre Ilan Ramon, a tout au long de l’année servi de tuteur aux gagnants. "C’est une très belle réussite", a-t-il dit, "ces jeunes scientifiques sont l’avenir de l’Etat d’Israël".

Un étudiant d’AMIT Gutwirth Sdérot représente Israël à la Conférence pour Jeunes Parlemen-taires

Lydia Naftaliev, élève de Terminale au Lycée AMIT Gu-twirth de Sdérot, représenta Israël à une conférence pour jeunes parlementaires qui fut tenue à Athènes. M. Ruby Ri-vlin, président de la Knesset, loua Lydia et dit: "Lydia est un exemple pour la génération future de dirigeants en Israël, une génération qui devra poursuivre la tâche entamée par la génération fondatrice – consolider la position de l’Etat d’Israël."

Le Lycée Religieux AMIT Sdérot remporte le Prix de l’Education religieuse

L’administration de l’Education religieuse du Ministère de l’Education a annoncé que le Lycée Religieux AMIT Sdé-rot est le bénéficiaire du Prix de l’Education religieuse pour l’année scolaire 2009-2010. Le prix a été décerné au cours d’une cérémonie spéciale à l’Université Bar Ilan en juin.

Un ancien élève d’AMIT de Be’er Sheva reçoit la Médaille d’Excellence à TsahalUne médaille d’excellence a été attribuée au sous-lieutenant Dejen Gevru, un ancien élève d’AMIT de Be’er Sheva à son cours de formation des officiers. Dejen a récemment achevé un cours pour devenir officier technique dans l’Ar-mée de l’Air de Tsahal.

Dejen Gevru fit son Aliya d’Ethiopie en 2002. Avec sa fa-mille, il s’installa à Be’er Sheva et étudia au Lyçée AMIT de Be’er Sheva, où il reçut de l’aide en hébreu et dans la pré-paration pour ses examens de Bagrut. Malgré ses difficultés en hébreu, Dejen se porta volontaire dans la communauté, aidant d’autres à préparer leurs examens de Bagrut. Il passa avec succès ses examens de Bagrut et obtint son diplôme du lyçée avec mentions.

Nous souhaitons à Dejen bonne chance dans toutes ses pro-chaines tentatives !

Un élève du Lycée AMIT de Be’er Sheva pour représenter Israël dans une compétition internationale

Daniel Neimark, élève en Terminale au Lycée AMIT de Be’er Sheva a remporté la seconde place à la Compétition du Jeune Scientifique d’INTEL en Israël. Daniel représen-tera Israël à l’INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair qui prendra place en mai à San José en Californie. Le projet de recherche de Daniel se concentre sur les propriétés magnétiques des matériaux monocristallins et a été réalisé au Centre Physique pour Jeunes d’Ilan Ramon à l’Universi-té Ben Gurion du Négev. L’annonce des vainqueurs de cette compétition a eu lieu à la Maison du Président à Jérusalem.

Nous félicitons Daniel pour son accomplissement et lui sou-haitons d’avoir du succès à la prochaine compétition inter-nationale !

Nouvelle Oulpana AMIT à Givat Shmouel

La municipalité de Givat Shmouel a annoncé cette semai-ne qu'elle soutiendra le réseau AMIT à créer une nouvelle Oulpana dans la ville. Cette Oulpana , supposée ouvrir ses portes en 2011, offrira un enseignement de qualité et de haut niveau dans le domaine scientifique, des laboratoires sophistiqués ainsi qu'un programme qui donnera aux étu-diantes sélectionnées l'opportunité d'étudier en parallèle à l'université de Bar Ilan. Le Rabbin Lior Halperin, actuelle-ment directeur de l'Oulpana Anna Teich située à Haifa, a été designé pour diriger de cette Oulpana.

Le maire de Givat Shmuel, Yossi Brodni, a expliqué dans un journal local pourquoi AMIT a été choisi pour la nouvelle Oulpana. "Nous avons été impressionnés par le profession-nalisme et la qualité des enseignants et du service adminis-tratif que nous avons rencontrés ainsi que par les avantages pédagogiques qu'offrent le réseau AMIT. Nous avons l'in-tention d'instaurer une Oulpana en Israël qui excellera dans les études juives, qui sera impliquée dans la communauté et excellera dans le domaine académique. "

New AMIT High School in Modiin

The Modiin Municipality announced that it will join forces with the AMIT Network to establish a new religious high school for the arts and sciences in the city. The school, scheduled to open its doors in 2011 to its first seventh grade classes, will add a grade each year until it serves students in grades 7-12. The school will offer separate tracks for boys and girls.

The Modiin Mayor, senior Modiin Municipality officials, the Director of the Modiin Education Department, the Di-rector General of the AMIT Network, and the Supervisor of Religious Education in the Ministry of Education hosted an evening for interested parents this week. Dr. Amnon Eldar expressed thanks to the Modiin Municipality for its faith and confidence in AMIT. Dr. Eldar said that the Modiin religious community deserves such a fine school and that AMIT, with the help of an outstanding faculty, will offer a religious Zionist education and academic excellence.

AMIT Sderot Religious High School Wins Ministry of Environment Prize

The Minister of Education and the Minister of the Environ-ment have awarded AMIT Sderot Religious High School a prize for excellence in environmental studies. AMIT Sderot was lauded for its initiative and creativity in its environmen-tal studies track, the first of its kind in Israel, which has been running successfully for 13 years. In addition, the school was commended for its many environmental projects in Sderot.

This is the second prize awarded to AMIT Sderot recently. The school was also the recipient of the Religious Education Prize for the 2009-2010 school year.

AMIT Student Wins Gold Medal in International AMIT Yehuda Afula Student Wins First Place in 5k Race

Eleventh grade AMIT Afula student, Yergah Metito, who made aliyah from Ethiopia in 2000, came in first place in Israel in the 5k Gezer Running Race held on May 30. In addition to this achievement, Yergah has also won first place in the 5k Raanana Race and second place in the 5.5k Mount Tabor Run.

In addition to being a talented athlete, Yergah, according to AMIT Afula principal, Amos Margolin, is also a “wonderful kid”. He is a diligent student, a modest person, and an all-around good guy.

AMIT Sderot Elementary Student Wins Regional Writing Prize

Ohad Abourmad, a sixth grade student at AMIT Madai Torani Elementary School in Sderot, won first prize in the Ministry of Education’s Southern Region English essay contest. The topic of the essay was mutual respect, which is also the theme this year in the Ministry of Education and the English Department. The Southern Region judging committee was very impressed by Ohad’s writing style and the content of his essay.

Congratulations to Ohad and to AMIT Madai Torani English teacher, Nurit Deri, who engaged her students in many different and creative activities on the theme of mutual respect.

AMIT students to honor underrepresented fallen soldiers

Hundreds of pupils from the AMIT school network will be present in cemeteries nationwide on Remembrance Day, to hold memorial ceremonies for fallen soldiers whose relatives are no longer alive, and to help bereaved families complete 10-man quorums to enable the saying of kaddish with a mi-nyan.

The students of the network’s AMIT Dvir Beit Shemesh school also cleaned the headstones of IDF soldiers’ graves in the nearby Hartov cemetery ahead of Monday’s ceremonies. The initiative begun last year, when students at Yeshi-vat AMIT Kfar Batya in Ra'anana spread out over the ci-ty’s cemeteries on Remembrance Day in search of unat-tended graves. The positive reactions led the AMIT network’s CEO Dr. Amnon Eldar to expand the project to all of the AMIT schools across the country this year. “It is a mitzva and honor to do something for those who gave their life for the country,” Eldar said

... AMIT Gutwirth Sderot Student Represents Israel at Conference for Young Parliamentarians

Lydia Naftaliev, a 12th grade student at AMIT Gutwirth Sderot High School, represented Israel at a conference for Young Parliamentarians that took place in Athens. Mr. Ruby Rivlin, Chairman of the Knesset, commended Lydia and said that, “Lydia is an example to the future generation of leaders in Israel, a generation that will need to continue the duty started by the founding generation – strengthening the standing of the State of Israel.”

AMIT Sderot Religious High School Wins Reli-gious Education Prize

The Religious Education Administration of the Ministry of Education has announced that AMIT Sderot Religious High School is the recipient of the Religious Education Prize for the 2009-2010 school year. The prize has been awarded at a special ceremony at Bar Ilan University in June.

AMIT Be’er Sheva High School Student to Rep-resent Israel in International Competition

Daniel Neimark, a 12th grade student at AMIT Be’er Sheva High School, won second place in the Intel Young Scientist Competition in Israel. Daniel will represent Israel in the In-tel International Science and Engineering Fair taking place this May in San Jose, California. Daniel’s research project focused on the magnetic properties of nanocrystal materials and was carried out at the Ilan Ramon Youth Physics Center at Ben Gurion University of the Negev. The announcement of the winners of this competition was made at the Presi-dent’s House in Jerusalem.

We congratulate Daniel on his achievement and wish him success at the upcoming international competition!

The National Insurance Institute reveals that 15,000 families – mostly Haredi and Arabs – became part of the circle of poverty in 2009. Almost two out of five children in Israel come from disadvanta-ged backgrounds. A Social survey reveals that 28% of Israelis think their economic situation is «very bad»

We are struck with the figures published on poverty in Israel taking into account following facts:

- 6300 families, with the two parents working, are part of this fringe of so-ciety

- More and more couples, that were part of the middle class, find it hard to make ends meet at the end of the month

- The Ethiopian community , even though well integrated on the labor market, or wanting to integrate , is mostly touched and count a high le-vel of disadvantaged families, about 40 %.

AMIT educates and cares for Israel’s

youth, including the most vulnerable chil-dren in Israel. Some 70 percent of AMIT students cope with educational, psycholo-gical, economic and/or social risk factors on a daily basis. AMIT approaches each child as an individual, maximizing his or her potential, and enables its students to become vital, productive members of Is-raeli society, to provide academic excel-lence and instill moral and Zionist values and ideals, a concept AMIT calls Beit Hi-nuch.

This year AMIT has decided to develop and expand the TOCHNIT 80 Program in the next 3 years - this is a unique program that AMIT has set up to increase BA-GRUT success for its students. We plan to support 30 to 35 pupils during 3 years of schooling (from 10th grade through 12th grade) from the co-ed Beer Sheva high-school where the children come from vul-nerable and disadvantaged backgrounds .

For this Program, in 2011 we hope to raise at least 40.000 to 50.000 Euros per class, per year.

The human resource is the main natural resource at the disposal of the State of Is-rael.

Let us help the children of AMIT succeed at their Bagrut scores and break the vi-cious cycle of poverty !

It is only through the efforts of our dedica-ted supporters that AMIT is able to carry out its critical work on behalf of Israel’s most vulnerable and most precious re-source, its children.

Thank you for dedicating tonight to sup-port the needs of our AMIT children. The funds raised this evening will help AMIT provide these students with special pro-grams that AMIT has set up to increase the BAGRUT success and the other spe-cial services they need to succeed acade-mically in their Bagrut.

Chers AMIS d’AMIT,

Tout d’abord merci de soutenir AMIT une fois de plus cette année. En nous aidant vous assurez tout simplement l’avenir des enfants d’Israël.

Le but d’AMIT est d’éduquer et d’aider les enfants israéliens défavorisés et en dé-tresse, de mettre en œuvre des projets de soutien éducatif et pré professionnel, de les accueillir dans des structures spécialisées, de soulager leurs besoins matériels urgents afin de leur permettre ultérieurement de se prendre en charge et de pouvoir ainsi faire face à leur avenir et à leurs responsabilités futures.

Plus de 70 % des étudiants d’AMIT sont issus de populations vulnérables qui ont be-soin désespérément d’un appui éducatif pour briser le cycle de pauvreté et de privation.

Le réseau AMIT, à l’écoute de l’évolution des besoins éduca-tifs de la société israélienne, crée des programmes spécifiques adaptés à certains groupes de population et leur accorde une aide supplémentaire leur permettant ainsi de s’adapter et de s’intégrer à la vie active en tant que membres reconnus de la société israélienne.

La moyenne nationale en Israël de réussite à la Bagrut (Bacca-lauréat Israélien) est de 62%. Dans le réseau AMIT le taux de réussite est de 70 % grâce à son «programme Tochnit 80».

Pour améliorer ce taux AMIT a créé le Programme Tochnit 80. L’objectif du Programme Tochnit 80 est d’élever à au moins 80 % le pourcentage de réussite au baccalauréat de l’ensemble des élèves d’AMIT et de tenter d’atteindre les 90 % et même les 100 % dans certaines écoles où cela n’est pas encore le cas. Il ne suffit pas seulement de créer le programme, mais il faut évidemment le financer. C’est avec un budget d’au moins 50,000 € par an par classe pour chaque école qu’AMIT

arrive à aider 30-35 élèves par promotion pendant trois an-nées d’études c.à.d. de la seconde à la terminale qui mènent au Baccalauréat.. Ce budget sert à financer les divers éléments du programme tel que: les évaluations pédagogiques, les forma-tions et les services de conseil pour les enseignants, les heures

de soutien scolaire, les cours de rattrapage et les cours privés ainsi que les marathons d’études avant les épreuves. L’utilisation du budget varie bien entendu d’une école à l’autre, en fonction des besoins des élèves.

La branche francophone d’AMIT a déci-dé cette année de soutenir un lycée mixte AMIT à Beer Shéva où les élèves sont is-sus d’une population vulnérable.

L’avenir de ces enfants se trouve dans nos mains et nous n’avons pas le droit de les

laisser «tomber».

AMIT considère chaque enfant comme un individu, pour maximiser son potentiel et pour qu’il devienne un membre ac-tif et productif de la société Israélienne.

Parrainez cet enfant qui n’attend rien de plus que de réussir dans la vie et de sortir enfin de ce cercle vicieux qui s’appelle la pauvreté…..

עיריית מודיעין הודיעה על שיתוף פעולה עם רשת אמי”ת בעיר. ומדעים לאומנויות חדש דתי תיכון ייסוד לצורך ביה”ס, העתיד לפתוח את שעריו ב-2011 עבור כיתות ז’ שיהיו הראשונות, יוסיף כיתה כל שנה עד שישרת תלמידים בכיתות ז’-יב’. בביה”ס יהיו מגמות נפרדות לבנים ולבנות.

ראלית.את התוכנית מנחים שני סלבריטאים ידועים שטעמו מאכלים שהוכנו על ידי כל אחד מהתלמידים והיה עליהם קבע: המנחים אחד ביותר. הטוב המאכל מהו להחליט

“האמת, קשה לבחור”.

מגמת המלונאות באמי”ת אשקלון נמצאת בשנתה הרביעית אברג’יל. איציק המנהל לדברי תאוצה, לצבור וממשיכה “התחלנו עם חמישה תלמידים בכל שכבה וכעת יש לנו 15 תלמידים בכל שכבה”. הצלחת המגמה, לדברי המנהל, היא המסור ולמורה מהתוכנית התלמידים להתלהבות הודות

שלהם.

יהתיכון הדת אמי”ת שדרות זכה בפרס המשרד לההגנת הסביבה

משרד החינוך והמשרד להגנת הסביבה העניקו לתיכון הדתי אמי”ת שדרות פרס על מצויינות בלימודי סביבה. אמי”ת שדרות זכה לדברי שבח על יוזמה ויצירתיות בלימודי מגמת הסביבה, הראשונה מסוגה בישראל, שפועלת בהצלחה 13 שנים. בנוסף, ביה”ס קיבל תשבחות רבות על פרוייקטים

סביבתיים רבים שעשה בשדרות.

זהו הפרס השני המוענק לאמי”ת שדרות לאחרונה. ביה”ס אף קיבל את פרס החינוך הדתי לשנת 2009-2010.

תלמידי אמי”ת זוכים למדליית זהב בתחרות פיזיקה בינלאומית

זכה באר-שבע, אמי”ת בתיכון תלמיד גודיניבסקי, אלי נובל בפיזיקה, תחרות זהב בצעד ראשון לפרס במדליית תלמידי בפיזיקה. למחקר בפרוייקטים שנתית בינלאומית תיכון מ-75 מדינות השתתפו בתחרות. בנוסף למדליית הזהב של אלי, 4 תלמידים נוספים ממדינות אחרות זכו אף הם במדליות זהב. אוולין ג’ניס, תלמידה נוספת מאמי”ת באר-פשבע, זכתה במדליית כסף בתחרות. הפרס של אלי הינו הז

דניאל ניימרק, תלמיד כיתה יב’ מתיכון אמי”ת באר-שבע, זכה במקום השני בתחרות מדענים את ייצג דניאל בישראל. אינטל של צעירים הבין-לאומי והמדעים ההנדסה ביריד ישראל פשל אינטל שיתקיים במאי בסן גו’ס , קליפו

במאפיינים התרכז דניאל של מחקרו רניה. ונ )ננוקריסטל( חומרים קטנים פמגנטיים של

ערך במרכז אילן רמון לפיזיקה באוניברסיטת בתחרות הזוכים על ההכרזה בנגב. בן-גוריון

התקיימה בבית הנשיא בירושלים.

בוגר אמי”ת באר-שבע קיבל מדליית הצטיינות בצבא

סגן משנה דג’ן גברו, בוגר אמי”ת באר-שבע, קיבל מדליית הצטיינות בקורס הקצינים שלו. דג’ן השלים לאחרונה קורס

שיכשיר אותו להיות קצין טכני בחיל האוויר.

דג’ן גברו עלה לארץ מאתיופיה בשנת 2002. הוא ומשפחתו התיישבו בבאר-שבע והוא למד בתיכון אמי”ת באר-שבע, שם קיבל עזרה בעברית ובהכנה לבחינות הבגרות. למרות לאחרים בסיוע בקהילה התנדב דג’ן השפה, עם הקושי לקראת בחינות הבגרות שלהם. הוא עמד בהצלחה בבחינות

הבגרות וסיים בכבוד.

תיכון אמי”ת שדרות הדתי זכה בפרס החינוך הדתי

תיכון כי הודיעה החינוך במשרד דתי לחינוך המחלקה אמי”ת הדתי בשדרות יקבל את פרס החינוך הדתי לשנת 2009-2010. הפרס הוענק בטקס מיוחד באוניברסיטת בר-

אילן ביוני.

תלמידי ביה”ס היסודי אמי”ת שדרות זכו בפרס אזורי בתחרות כתיבה

אמי”ת היסודי בביה”ס ו’ כיתה תלמיד אבורמד, אוהד כתיבת בתחרות הראשון בפרס זכה שדרות, תורני-מדעי חיבורים באנגלית לאזור הדרום מטעם משרד החינוך. נושא הכתיבה היה כבוד הדדי. זהו גם הנושא השנתי של משרד פהחינוך והמחלקה לאנגלית. וועדת השיפוט של אזור הד
