Can access to OAM be granted to someone in my agency?Yes. Brokers may decide to have an office administrator or other staff within their agency access OAM to complete updates on their behalf and/or on behalf of a group. The appropriate privilege setting must be granted to the Broker by the group’s Employer Administrator in order for the Broker to grant their own access to another Agency User. See below for more details.

Important: For security reasons, we ask that Brokers not share their username/password with an office administrator or other staff within their agency.

How do I obtain access to create Agency Users in OAM?In order for a Broker to have access to the User Management feature in OAM and create an Agency User account, the Employer Administrator must first grant the Broker permission to do so. The Broker should contact the group’s Employer Administrator to get started. Note: Only the Employer Administrator can grant access to a Broker. No other authorized Employer Users have this capability.

The Employer Administrator should log in to OAM and select User Management > Manage Broker. Next, the Employer Administrator selects the Broker who requires the User Management privilege.

Selected in Active Group Selector

Lastly, the Employer Administrator selects the “Broker User Management” checkbox from the list of available privileges and clicks Submit.

How do I grant access to an Agency User? The Broker of Record on the group’s account should click User Management > Add Agency User to begin the process for granting appropriate group access.

Next, the Broker completes the registration process on behalf of the Agency User as outlined below:

1. Step 1 – Enter User Details

First and Last Name Email Phone Username

2. Step 2 – Enter group information

Select which groups to give the Agency User access to.

3. Step 3 – Assign privileges

A confirmation page will display that includes the new Agency User’s username and temporary password. The Broker is encouraged to print this confirmation screen for their records. The Agency User will also receive an email containing their username. Their temporary password will be sent in a separate email for security purposes.

How do I grant group access to another Broker in my agency? If the Broker of Record wants to grant group access to another Broker in the agency, the preferred method is to establish that Broker as an Agency User as outlined above. Otherwise, the User Management feature does not include a setting for another Broker.

Note: Delegating access to another Broker means that Broker will need to maintain multiple OAM accounts; one as an Agency User and one as a Broker on any employer group accounts they manage in OAM.

Important: For security reasons, Brokers should not share their username/password with an office administrator or other staff within their agency.

Can an Agency User support multiple Brokers in OAM?An Agency User can only support multiple Brokers through multiple Agency User accounts. This means the Agency User will have more than one username/password in order to complete updates on behalf of each Broker of Record/group.

Helpful Hints:

•IfanagencyhasasinglestaffmemberwhosupportsmultipleBrokers, whoeachhavetheirownaccessto their employer groups’ accounts in OAM, we recommend that a single Broker account be setup for that agency. All employer group access requests can be managed within this one account, and all additional Broker of Records and agency staff can be setup as Agency Users.
