Class 4 Parents’ Curriculum Meeting

On Thursday 19th September, the parents of pupils in class 4 and new children who have joined class 5, are invited to an important meeting about the teaching of reading and mathematics. Please note that children do not attend this meeting.

Class 4 Parents’ Open Morning

On Thursday 14th November between 9.00am and 10.00am, we would like to invite parents of our class 4 children to an Open Morning. You will receive a tour of classes 5 – 11 and key members of staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Uniform

As the weather turns colder, children should wear their black winter coat with their cap or hat to school every day, and not their blazer.

They should have their school woollen hat, scarf, red fleece gloves and a pair of wellington boots in school every day for outdoor play.

Please ensure that all items of uniform are clearly labelled.

Please ensure your child has spare clothes in school each day.

Registration

Please be reminded that children should be at school and in their classrooms by 9.00am each day. If they arrive after this time, please ensure that they are signed in at the Reception Office. Late children will receive a late mark in the register.

Spare Clothes

We would be grateful if you could provide a spare set of clothes for your child, in case of accidents. These can put in the red drawstring shoe bag and remain on your child's peg.

Books and Toys

Children are always welcome to bring books to school for us to enjoy together, however please only send toys if they relate to our topic.

CLASS 4T NEWSLETTER

MISS TIBBLE

SEPTEMBER 2019

In the autumn term, our topics will be Jungle and Rainbow/Christmas.

Jungle - we will be looking at jungle animals, their habitat and camouflage, what they eat and how they grow.

Rainbow/Christmas – we will be learning about colours of the rainbow and how rainbows are made. We will be looking at colours in school and in our environment. This will then lead on to Christmas activities and the story of Christmas.

If you have anything of interest, connected to these topics, we would love to borrow it for a short while. Information regarding topic related trips and visits will follow.
