Projects Dirty Laundry

   

Born as a satirical comment on the proverb ‘don’t air your laundry in public’, Dirty Laundry, an Art Collective comprising of twenty artists living with mental health disorders, aimed to eradicate the social stigma surrounding mental health. Working in conjunction with Leeds Mind and LRFS, I was in charge of project managing the operation, where one of my many roles was to create visual material to promote various aspects of the organisation.

Corn Exchange    

As an on-going, freelance design project, I am responsible for creating a logo for a historic building renovation project.

Working closely with the brand identity, this project requires me to capture a sense of the building’s past, as well as its future as a thriving, social business venue.

This project has enabled me to develop my skillset, working closely to a client’s brief, managing a workload on a tight schedule, and exploring a variety of design outcomes to create a successful end product, ensuring client satisfaction.

For this, communication and understanding of the client’s needs are paramount.

Concepts Emerging from a Fine Art background, I have completed a number of projects to date that have required me to utilize a concept led approach to working. As a process led, media specialist artist, I understand that the majority of work is undergone long before the creation of an end product. I have worked on a number of projects throughout my academic career, but the common factor in all of them has been a satirical, often political manner of communicating with my audience.
