Application Form and Fee
1. Only online application form will be acceptable.
2. No Application Form shall be received by post.
3. Candidates have to pay application fee of Rs. 800/- for General and Rs. 500/- for all reserve
categories (OBC/SC/ST) payable online.
4. Official bank for submission of fee is Indian Bank/Allahabad Bank and HDFC Bank
(Any CBS branch in India or by Master / Visa Card)

21st September, 2020 (Monday) – Prospectus and forms available on KGMU website
15th October, 2020 (Thursday) - Last date of online form submission
30th October, 2020 (Friday) - Merit List declaration
5th – 7th November, 2020 - Tentative first counselling
19th – 20th November, 2020 – Tentative second counselling
26th – 27th November, 2020 - Tentative third counselling
Admission of B.Sc. Nursing will be done on the basis of Merit List prepared on the basis of aggregate marks of PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) attained in class 12th exit exam. In case of a tie of marks, merit shall be taken into consideration as below in order of preference:

On line admission procedure INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES
Application for admission to B.Sc. Nursing in KGMU and the six affiliated colleges shall be
submitted online only.
Online Application to be submitted on website www.kgmcindia.edu, www.kgmu.org,
www.kgmu.edu.in
No application form shall be received by post.
Register and create Login ID and Password on the website as directed and keep it for all future
correspondence.
Fill all the entries in the application form carefully and check them before final submission, as
wrongly filled or incomplete application form will be rejected and no enquiry will be
entertained regarding this.
Admission to B.Sc. Nursing will be done on the basis of Merit List prepared on the basis of
aggregate marks of PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) attained in class 12th exit exam.
In case of a tie of marks, merit shall be taken into consideration as below in order of
preference:
Student with older age
Highest Marks in Biology
Highest Marks in Chemistry
Highest Marks in Physics
Highest Marks in English
At the time of admission, original certificate will be verified. If any discrepancy is found,
admission will be cancelled.
Option of the choice of Nursing College for B.Sc. Nursing to be given at the time of filling form.
Three options to be mentioned, in order of preference; from KGMU and the six affiliated
colleges.

Rules & Regulation
Admission Terms and Conditions (As per latest INC Regulation)
1. Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2020.
2. Minimum Education: a. A candidate should have passed in the subjects of PCB and English individually and must have obtained a
minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination (10+2). b. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of
Open School (NIOS) recognized by central government having Science subjects and English only.
c. A candidate belonging to SC/ST or other backward classes, the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination should be 40% instead of 45% as stated above.
d. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. Nursing. e. Candidate shall be medically fit.
f. Candidate shall be admitted once in a year. g. Reservation Policy:
(i) For disabled candidate: 5% disability reservation to be considered with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity (as per Notification-1-5/2018-INC dated 10th April 2019)
Note: A committee will be formed consisting of medical officer authorized by Medical Board of State Government and a nursing expert in the panel which may decide whether the candidates have the disability of
locomotor of 40% to 50%. (ii) 5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ST candidates
(iii) Any reservation as per the State Government
Note: Reservation shall be applicable within the sanctioned number of the seats by INC and not above it.
3. Duration of Course is Four years.
4. Both males and females are eligible. 5. Vivekananda College of Nursing Lucknow, Sahara College of Nursing Lucknow and BCM College of Nursing,
Khairabad, Sitapur, have seats for Female candidates only. 6. Candidates must be medically fit. Additional medical checkup may be done before admission (the candidates who are in the
merit list are required to submit certificate of physical fitness from registered medical practitioner.
7. Payment of application fee:

GENERAL Category: Rs. 800/-
Any type of Reserved Category (OBC/SC/ST): Rs. 500/-
8. Implementation of changes in regard to admission process/selection criteria etc. if any will be incorporated as per
Indian Nursing Council notification issued from time to time. Information regarding the above will be available on INC website (http://www.indiannursingcouncil.org)
9. Any dispute in regard to any matter referred to herewith shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Allahabad High Court
of Judicature, Lucknow Bench only. 10. The decision of the Vice-Chancellor shall be final in the matter of selection of candidates for admission to the course and no
appeal shall be entertained on this subject.
11. Distribution of the seats:- Seats in different nursing colleges are available (as per details attached). Category wise distribution of seats will be as per UP Public Service Commission Scheduled Caste, Schedule tribes and
other Backward Class Reservation amendment ordinance 2002. 12. Seats may be increased or decreased at the time of admission process on the directives of the
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor.
