Dr. A. Q. Khan Institute of Computer Sciences and Information Technology (KICSIT),

Kahuta was inaugurated in November 2000 by Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, the founder and

the then Chairman of KRL.

KICSIT is offering quality education at an affordable cost. Currently, KICSIT is

offering two four year degree programs in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science

(BSCS) and Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCE) later approved by

PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council). Both of these programs are being run in

affiliation with UET Taxila.

KICSIT is ideally located in an exclusively peaceful and secure environment. On one hand, it is free from the

maddening crowd of the present-day cities and, on the other hand, it is accessible from the twin cities of Rawalpindi-

Islamabad at an easy drive of about 50 minutes . KICSIT is housed in its own purposefully built fully air conditioned

campuses. It has furnished class rooms with audio-visual teaching aids, well equipped computer and electronic labs

and library. KICSIT also operates a book-bank having over 4000 copies of books used as text books for offered

courses. Broad-band internet connectivity is available at all computers of the Institute. KICSIT provides transport to

its students and faculty traveling from twin cities and Kahuta surroundings at a subsidized rate.

In view of its increasing students strength and scope, steps have been taken to facilitate KICSIT. The full-fledged

campus of KICSIT is under construction in the midst of lush green and scenic hills of Kahuta, stretched over an area of

108 kanals. Academic and administration blocks have been constructed at this new campus, which is on main

Rawalpindi-Kahuta Road. Addition of these blocks has helped us to host our BSCE and BSCS programs at this

campus.

The Institute can rightly boast of having an elite faculty with foreign qualified PhDs and Master degree holders having

decades of practical industrial experience, most of these are scientists and engineers of KRL. Another distinguished

feature of KICSIT is its discipline which helps the students to concentrate on their studies and participate in healthy

activities exclusively.

The bottom line approach of KICSIT is, perfection and professionalism.

Dr. Muhammad Afzal Director, KICSIT

KICSIT Alumni Feedback

Mr. Saad Roman Ahmed

2007-2011

My experience at KICSIT has meant career advancement to a highly responsible and

technically challenging position in a reputable Organization. Along with that, an increased

sense of self-esteem and a feeling of accomplishment and personal satisfaction. I discovered a

new world when I joined the Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology Degree

Program at KICSIT.

The professors are highly qualified professionals, who carry th latest credentials and industry

experiences allowing them to accomplish the Institute missions. The program has given me an

advantage both personally and professionally so if you are looking to expand your knowledge,

I recommend KICSIT as the best choice. Through out my four year at KICSIT, I met nothing

but encouragement from faculty, academic counselor and my fellow students. Thank you for

encouraging me to achieve my academic goals and made me a successful individual in a

reputable organization.

Time indeed has passed so quickly but I can't forget the memorable days which I spent there.

This institute provides a comprehensive content of study to meet all learning needs and is

enriched with highly qualified faculty members. They treated us like a family; they worked

really hard in acquainting us with technical education right according to the standards of the

market and enabled us to reach our objectives and goals. KICSIT polished the facets of my

personality. Behind the successful carrier, which I have today is the biggest hand of KICSIT.

Henceforth, I highly recommend KICSIT to any individual or organization interested in

expanding their educational training needs especially related to information technology and

modern days needs.

I was privileged to get chance to study in Kicsit. I learned a lot related to my core subject. And

there is no comparison of “Professional Training” that I got from there. Faculty members are

well qualified. University administration has created a harmony among student via different

co-curricular activities & societies. They arrange sports week, culture week to encourage

student. University arranged some seminars & Workshops related to “Professional Ethics”

where we get training of writing professional emails, interviews, Resume etc. To build

confidence in student teachers always encourages us to make clear our queries at end of

lecture. No doubts university has well equipped laboratories & libraries having all required

books.

KICSIT Alumni Feedback

It was a tremendous experience for me to study in KICSIT. It gave me a lot of opportunities to

explore my talents and skill sets, and to fine tune them with relative speed and efficiency.

Being a software engineer in corporate sector I can proudly compete to all standards of market

today. Studying in KICSIT was a challenge in every right, but striving each day to come out on

top of each challenge was totally worth it. One important factor for me to select KICSIT was

its prime location. In between the astounding green mountains of Kahuta, and away from

hustle and bustle of crowded cities, it provided me with the kindest of environments to focus

all my hard work & mindset to becoming a great learner, rather than being a degree holder

only.

Time spent at KICSIT is the best and most memorable part of my life. KICSIT is really a

prestigious institute. The campus provides a safe, peaceful and friendly environment to study

in. Kind, guiding and knowledge imparting faculty is the main strength of this institute. For an

IT student hands-on experience and theoretical training is the compulsion to gain the edge in

the job market. So here students can learn by doing, rather than just seeing. Alumni are well-

rounded IT professionals and software developers in well-known organizations. The institute

has not only provided me with quality education, but also it has given me enough confidence

and skills to compete in the market.

All in all I am glad I was a part of KICSIT. The institute is very involved in your career

afterward as well which is very beneficial. I strongly recommend KICSIT to the students

looking for bachelors studies.

Joining KICSIT was a tough decision but now quickly I can say that I found the best

institute. Studying in KICSIT is an investment of your carrier. I must say KICSIT has

solid academic scheme of studies. Staff and senior students are friendly. Social life is

great and campus provides a safe and friendly environment. I always miss the four

years spent in KICSIT. Professors and lecturers are really skilled professionals and

very helpful, in and outside classroom. They really want their students to perform

well. This is the reason that KICSIT students compete the top university students in the

market. I strongly recommend the students who interested in professional learning,

there is no place better than KICSIT
