P3 - create documents making use of basic tools and techniques, one from each document type, that meet the needs of a defined audience

M1 - create different types of documents to convey the same information to

different audiences

M2 - create a complex document that combines textual, numerical and graphical information appropriate for a defined audience

Your Task

• You have shown that you understand the different types of documents and you must now create a document from each type. For each document you must specify the audience. Two of the documents created should present the same information but directed at different audiences and at least one of the documents that you create must be more complex and contain text, numerical and graphical information.

Six Documents

• Short Formal (eg memo, email, letter, order form, invoice, agenda, minutes)

• Extended Formal (eg article, newsletter, report, user guide)

• Graphical Document (eg illustrations, charts, flowcharts, diagrams)

• Promotional (eg 2-page flyer, leaflet, web page)• Presentation (the one from Assignment 2)• Informal Documents (eg texting, creative

writing).

What would I do?• Write a letter to potential sponsors informing them of the

website and why they should advertise on your website• Create a 2-page flyer (front & back) to advertise the

website to music lovers using the same information as the text message below

• Create the music report set for homework • Create a graph showing the download trends over the past
