BUILD IT ANGULAR AND IONIC: A HANDS-ON WORKSHOP

Some of my responsibilities: • create the structure, curriculum,

and schedule for the workshop. • manage the social media

campaign which resulted in attendance exceeding our goals.

• coordinate with location staff for setup instructions.

• manage workshop budget and coordinate with sponsors for payment.

• setup registration process and train event volunteers.

• secure speakers, instructors, and volunteer coaches.

• create post-workshop survey to gauge attendee satisfaction.

• design and order promotional brand items for attendee swag bag, while staying under budget.

Project A one-day workshop consisting of expert speakers and instructors on AngularJS and Ionic framework.

Goal For beginner attendees to learn AngularJS or Ionic, and intermedite and advanced attendees to increase their current skills by completing a demo project.

RoleAs an organizer for the ATL AngularJS Meetup Group, we provide frond-end developers with meetups, workshops, and mixers with a focus on AngularJS and JavaScript.

Challenge Provide talks and instruction for attendees with varying levels of experience, knowledge, and interests.

Solution Ask the attendees to select their experience level and desired lesson track during the registration pro-cess.

Outcome For each project session, in addition to instructors, we had volunteer coaches on-hand to make sure that everyone got help along the way and had a chance to successfully complete their project.
