Telah 2 tahun berlalu sejak BODENT 6 tahun 2010 dilaksanakan, dan sekarang BODENT 7 akan

diadakan untuk menambah ilmu dan keterampilan teman sejawat dokter gigi.

BODENT kali ini akan menampilkan 1 narasumber luar negeri dari Singapore serta 11

narasumber dalam negeri yang tidak kalah menariknya.

Esthetik akan dibawakan oleh narasumber yang sudah ahli di bidangnya. Untuk mendapatkan

esthetik yang baik, tentunya harus didukung oleh jaringan pendukung gigi yang baik, dan hal ini

akan di bahas oleh sejawat yang sudah tidak asing di bidangnya.

Semuanya itu akan lebih menarik, memperluas wawasan dan menambah ilmu pengetahuan kita,

dengan adanya sesi work shop yang akan di pandu oleh sejawat yang sudah ahli di bidangnya.

Tidak ketinggalan Dental Exhibition yang akan diikuti oleh 12 (dua belas) peserta dengan produk

produk terbarunya serta adanya program spesial discount.

Occlusion in Modern Dentistry

The practice of modern restorative dentistry has changed with the advent of dental

implants and new dental materials for more natural-looking restorations. At the same

time, our patients expect esthetic restorations with good longevity. Our function of

our dentition is still a dynamic interaction with teeth, soft tissue, bone and muscles of

mastication. With newer modalities of restorative dental treatment and materials, our

concept and practice of occlusion in dentistry needs to be relooked at and updated

for the challenges of modern day esthetic dentistry. This lecture will focus on the

current concepts of dental occlusion and how it applies to achieving a long-term

predictable and esthetic outcome.

Essentials of Porcelain Veneers – How to do it?

Our patients are now more concerned with not only improved dental function but

also esthetic dental restorations. The pursuit of dental perfection through well-

aligned teeth and whiter teeth is commonly on top of many patients wish list. With

the advent of new and stronger dental materials (i.e. dental porcelains and adhesive

cements), the need to sacrifice good tooth structure to fabricate full-coverage

crowns is no longer the option of choice. Porcelain veneers not only allow for a

change in tooth color but they also make it possible to correct for mild mal-

alignment. The preparations are usually more conservative than the full-coverage

crowns.

In this lecture, the following will be covered:

1) Indications for porcelain veneers/Case selection

3) Provisionalisation

4) Impression taking technique

5) Adhesive cements for porcelain veneers

Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics

Dr Christopher Quek graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from

National University of Singapore in 1998. In 2002, he was awarded Fellow of

the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (FRACDS) by examination.

He later completed a 3-year Prosthodontic Residency Programme in the

National University of Singapore in 2003 and was conferred the Master of

Dental Surgery (Prosthodontics).

He was also elected as a Member in Restorative Dentistry (Prosthodontics) of

the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2003. In 2005, Dr Quek was

admitted as a Fellow into the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He is also a

registered Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics. Dr Quek is currently in private

practice and is also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Restorative

Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore. He has

lectured regionally and has also published in peer-reviewed journals. His areas

of interests are in the fields of implant prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry

Abstrak Perawatan Orthodonti cekat pada kasus dimana pada rahang

atas terjadi asimetri lengkung gigi dan terjadi hanya pada sisi

kiri, sedangkan pada lengkung gigi sisi yang kanan tidak terjadi

kelainan gigitan, interdigitasi lengkung gigi sisi kanan relatif

normal dan baik, kami melakukan ekspansi satu sisi dengan

quad helix. Pasien mengalami clicking dan kadang timbul rasa

sakit di condyl sebelah kiri

Pertama-tama kami melakukan

ekspansi sisi kiri rahang atas dengan

menggunakan quad helix seiring

dilakukan 5(lima) tahap perawatan

orthodontik cekat, setelah semua 5

(lima) tahap berlangsung secara

sempurna, baru kemudian dilakukan

penggunaan open coil spring di

antara gigi caninus dan insisive 2

untuk melakukan ekspansi pada

premaksila agar wajah pasien

terlihat lebih baik dan simetris kiri dan

kanan. Setelah melakukan ekspansi

dengan quad helix, clicking berangsur hilang dan wajah

pasien tampil lebih baik. Demikian presentasi ini kami buat

Optimizing soft tissue healing with

light activated antiseptic

Abstract

Stabilization of soft tissue post periodontal treatment is an ultimate goal. Soft tisssue

breakdown jeopardize treatment result and lead to the worst condition. Antiseptic is a

adjunct therapy for reducing, eliminating and maintaining stability of soft tissue.

The weakness of ordinary antiseptic are time consuming, poor taste, low quality of time

contact with disease area, difficulty for identified position of antiseptic intra orally et

cetera. Light activated antiseptic is a modern adjunct therapy therapy that helping

reducing the weakness of ordinary antiseptic. Using light as a source of antiseptic

energy to eliminate microorganism and provide better tissue healing. This presentation

is going to discuss and share the benefit of light activated antiseptic in optimizing

healing of soft tissue post periodontal treatment.

Pada perawatan ortodonti sering ditemukan kasus dengan sentral diastema di rahang atas yang diakibatkan antara lain karena frenulum rahang atas yang abnormal.

Perawatan penutupan sentral diastema ini harus ditunjang dengan analisa intra oral

yang cukup agar penyebab sentral diastema dapat diketahui dengan pasti. Seringkali

diperlukan tindakan dengan melibatkan multidisiplin ilmu dalam perawatan ini guna

mendapatkan hasil yang optimal. Penatalaksanaan penutupan sentral diastema dapat

Abstrak

Problem klasik para Dokter Gigi dalam praktek sehari-hari adalah melakukan Restorasi Klas II dengan baik secara Teknis dan Estetis. Secara Teknis dan Estetis, Preparasi Cavitas harus dilakukan dengan Lege Artis, selanjutnya menempatkan/ memasang Matrik yang dapat mengembalikan daerah kontak seperti gigi asli, dalam hal ini harus menggunakan “Sectional Matrix”. Tahap selanjutnya adalah melakukan penumpatan kavitas dengan Light Curing Composite menggunakan Teknik Layering Composite untuk mendapatkan estetik yang baik, sehingga tidak menyebabkan terjadinya kebocoran maupun Overhanging Filling, akan dibahas lebih detail. Abstrak

Saat ini berbagai macam produk atau alat yang

tersedia untuk mempermudah dan meningkatkan

kualiotas pekerjaan dokter gigi. Salah satu

diantaranya Magnetic Attachment, adalah suatu alat

yang terdiri dari bnaagian laki-laki yang melekat pada

abutment gigi dan bagian wanita yang melekat pada

prothesa gigi tiruan lepasan. Keuntungannya dapat

mempertahankan jaringan gigi yang tersisa sehingga

dapat dipakai untuk menambah retensi dan stabilisasi

pada gigi tioruan lepasan maupun penuh. Magnetic

Attachment ini daapat digunakan pada kasus implant

dan gigi. Pada gigi salah satu persyaratannya adalah

gigi harus dalam keadaan non vital dan sudah

dilakukan Endodontik dengan steril.

pemutihan gigi untuk meningkatkan penampilan atau kecantikan,

berdampak kepada semakin banyaknya permintaan masyarakat

akan perawatan ini. Berbagai bahan dan teknik telah

diperkenalkan untuk pemakaian in-office maupan oleh pasien

sendiri di rumah.

Tampaknya sebagian dokter gigi masih menganggap perawatan ini

mahal, karena harus menyediakan atau menyewa alat sinar untuk

bleaching. Selain itu, untuk penggunaan in-office, operator masih

sering dihadapkan kepada timbulnya rasa ngilu yang dialami

pasien selama prosedur pemutihan. Pada kesempatn ini akan

dibahas tentang teknik in-office bleaching yang rasional, praktis

dan upaya untuk mencegah timbulnya ngilu selama proses

pemutihan gigi

Abstrak

Keberhasilan ekstraksi gigi ditentukan oleh penguasaan dan

penerapan Ilmu Kedokteran Gigi oleh seorang dokter gigi, sehigga mampu

menilai keadaan pasien dan membuatkan perencaan perawatan dan

tindakan yang tepat, yang untuk tujuan kesembuhan pasien.

Ekstraksi merupakan suatu penerapan prinsip – prinsip

bedah dan prinsip-prinsip fisik dan mekanik sehingga gigi dapat dilepas dari

tempatnya tertanam di tulang rahang.

Selain hal telah diuraikan diatas dokter gigi dalam

melakukan ekstraksi juga harus menguasai tehnik dan keterampilan yang

tepat sesuai jenis gigi.

Bila berbagai faktor diatas tidak dikuasai, dapat terjadi

faktur dari akar gigi, diantaranya fraktur seperrtiga apikal.

Ekstraksi fraktur akar sepertiga apikal dapat dilakukan

secara tertutup atau secara terbuka, tergantung kepada kondisi akar gigi

dan tehnik yang dikuasai serta ketrampilan yang dimiliki oleh seorang

dokter gigi.
