II. CLASSES According to SEEOC Rules: Individual events and Relay: Men 16, 18, 20, 21. Women 16, 18, 20, 21.

III. ENTRY FEE According to SEEOC Rules, 20 EUR per competitor for all races.

IV. ENTRIES Team representatives must fill out the Preliminary entry form and send it to [email protected]

by 01st June 2012.

Team representatives must then fill out the Final entry form and sent it to [email protected]

by 15th

August 2012.

V. PARTICIPATION According to the SEEOC Rules!

Competitors representing member Federations of the IOF, defined by the International Olympic

Committee as belonging to the South East European region can compete in SEEOC.

At the moment this Bulletin is published (January 2012), the following countries are eligible for

official participation: Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro,

Romania, Serbia and Turkey.

Participants from a country outside the South East European region, can participate in SEEOC open

events (Bursa Open), but will not be eligible for South East European titles, medals or diplomas.

Participants in the Open Event will start 15 minutes after the last official SEEOC competitor start in

each class.

In each event (Sprint, Middle Distance and Long Distance), a Federation may enter a maximum

of 4 runners in each class.

In the relay a Federation may enter one team, each consisting of 3 competitors.

Incomplete teams and teams with runners from more than one Federation are not allowed.

Under no circumstances may persons other than entered competitors participate in the competition.

VI. PUNCHING SYSTEM SPORT Ident electronic punching system will be used in all races. You can rent SI card from the

organizers 3€ per start. 40€ if lost rented SI card. Please, state your SI Card Number in the Event

Entry Form.

VII. WINNING TIME AND APPROXIMATE LENGHTS OF COURSES

Terrain at 330m above sea level, typical old

Turkish village, tourist attraction, with lot of old

houses, small and narow streets, passes etc. Paved

streets with cobble stones.

Long distance: Sarialan Scale 1:15000, Contour interval: 5m

Terrain at 1720m above sea level. New map was

made in 2009, no competition was held in the

area. Necessary corrections will be made in

2011/2012.

Moderately steep to steep hills up to 250 m in

height. Many stones and rocky areas. Vegetation

mainly beech spruce forest, but there are also

areas with pine forests and open land. Some

undergrowth and small marshes. Mostly easy

running, but pace reduced in some places due to

rocky areas and denser vegetation. Visibility very

good, but limited in denser areas. Limited

network of paths and forest roads. Possibility of

fog.

Terrain at 300m above sea level. A lot of small

pathes and forest roads. Stony ground. Many dry

stream channels. Runability from moderate to

difficult. Some semiopen land, many stone

formations. Pine forest and small platan trees.

IX. EMBARGOED AREAS The satellite map below shows the embargoed areas.. Accommodation area is in Bursa city center, and there are no restrictions there about visiting the city.

Sprint and relay areas are at the same place, terrains close to each other, in village Cumalikizik (about

12 km from Event center). Terrains for middle and long distance are also close to each other, high in

the mountains, in the Sarialan area, Uludag (about 37 km from the Event Center).

Any violation of entering embargoed areas for visiting or training shall be notified at once to the

X. TRAINING POSSIBILITIES It is possible to have a training camp at neighbouring area of middle and long distance at Kirazlı upon

By Bus :

There are a lot of bus companies operating between Istanbul and Bursa.

The main bus station situated 20 - 30 minutes away from Atatürk airport by metro.

It takes 3,5 - 4 hours by bus to Bursa.

The ticket price in 2011 is around 10€ one way.

Ferry transfer from Istanbul to Bursa

For the small buses and cars it is possible to take a ferryboat from Istanbul to Bursa.

Local transport Bursa / Events

From the city center to competition areas transportation will be supplied by organizer.

Transfer fee is 20€ per person for 4 days.

Exact schedule of transfers and place of departures will be published in Bulletin 3.

Use the preliminary entry form to reserve transportation!

Teams can use their own means of transportation from accommodation to the events, but at

their own responsibility.

There will be a chance to use cable car from the city of Bursa to the long and middle distance

competition areas. Additional information about that will be published in Bulletin 3.

XV. VISA INFORMATION

No visa is required for the following SEEOC countries:

Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia.

Among SEEOC countries, Moldova requires a visa. A visa can be obtained at the border. Please

check if you need a visa at http://www.mfa.gov.tr/visa-information-for-foreigners.en.mfa

All those countries which require a visa should let us know well ahead so that we may provide all

necessary documents for you needed for visa.
