women and their children in the Central Valley region of San Bernardino

County. The Option House is a non-profit corporation serving San Bernar-

dino County since 1977. They work together with their community part-

ners to assist individuals and families to provide 24 hour crisis intervention

and emergency shelter services. Women and their children may stay at

the shelter 45-60 days. They also offer outreach programs for those who

are not eligible for shelter. Services include: counseling, education, in-

tervention, advocacy, food, clothing, and support services. The agency

also provides transitional housing, legal services and year around edu-

cation and awareness to family violence victims; last year they provided
