All Saints - November 1 2015 Disciples: A Communion of Saints
Rev 7:2-4, 9-14 A vision of God’s faithful people Psalm 24 Lord, we are the people who long for you. 1 John 3:1-3 What we shall be has not yet been re-
vealed. Matt 5:1-12a Jesus teaches the Beatitudes.
Two dogs were walking down the street discussing why one of them was wearing a cone collar. The collared dog explained, “I think it’s to amplify my barking.” Preachers of the Beatitudes don’t need to wear a cone collar to make their message louder. By themselves, these eight blessings amplify God’s love. We are blessed to be
the children of a loving God who takes care of all of our needs. -- Deacon Dick Folger
Next Week’s Readings… 1 Kings 17:10-16 God rewards the trust of the poor
widow. Psalm 146 Praise the Lord, my soul! Heb 9:24-28 Christ offered himself, once and for all. Mark 12:38-44 The parable of the poor widow

Deo Gratias -- “Thanks Be To God”
We are grateful to God, and to our retired priests in the Diocese of St. Catharines, who, from the time of their ordination, have cared for us and our spiritual needs. In thanksgiving to God for them and their years of faithful service, your generous support of the Deo Gratias collection will enable us to care for those who have dedicated their lives to caring for us. The revenue from this collection does not go in-to an endowment fund but goes directly to the Cler-gy Aid Society which provides an income for our re-tired priests. This special collection will be collected the weekend of November 14-15.
