STUDENT FINANCEThe Student Loans Company (SLC) has made some improvements to the student finance application process, which opened last week, which should make it quicker and easier to apply. Because of a new arrangement with HM Revenue & Customs, the majority of new students applying for finance dependent on their household income will not have to send financial evidence. Students can find more details at www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance
