This week children from the Unit joined
with people from schools and many
organisations around the Dubbo area to
celebrate the 2009 Day of People with
Disability.
There were games and activities, music and dancing,
and a sausage sizzle. It was also a great opportunity for
students and teachers to catch up with former students

Stage 2 & 3 News
Last Tuesday on the 1st of December the mentoring group went to the CSU (Charles Sturt University). When we first got there we had a look at the library and were asking questions about it. There were two people showing us around and their names were Steven and Kate. The people who went there were surprised to see where they were going.
After we saw the library we went to see a meeting room and there were TV’s and they talked to people from different places. Next we went and saw the bigger meeting room where they have bigger meetings and have to write notes down, the left handers have to sit at the front so they have a table on the left.
We enjoyed our time there and some of us were inspired to continue school and go further.

SAFE, RESPECTFUL,
LEARNERS
On Thursday the 3rd of December students from Buninyong in Year 6 got a chance to visit their high school of choice for 2010 . We went to Delroy High School and during our time there we got to mix with other students in Years 7, 8 and 9, and we got to take some classes. Our classes included Visual Arts, Maths and Circus. At lunch we all had a BBQ lunch and a drink. We also got to buy from the Snak Shak.
We are looking forward to sports, Art, Maths, learning different languages, sewing and cooking being with our friends.
